Another proud day for the conservative… Kenneth Starr, The man who wanted to impeach a President for lying about a illicit sexual affair.. Yea, that conservative Kenneth Starr opposes the death penalty and represented the convicted California murder, arguing that the convicted murderer/rapist scheduled to die Tuesday evening…. Would suffer a cruel and unusual death if put to death under lethal injection… The sentence is now under indefinite hold… The case will have to be sent back to the original sentencing Judge to be rescheduled.. The Judge has now changed.. And is now opposed to the death penalty… It was only while they were out of power.. That so many people, of so many different morals, united.. Once in power.. The unity crumbled…. It became everyman for himself.. And women were sent to the kitchen… |

I think you confuse traditional conservatism with social conservatism. The former sticks to the Constitution, the latter to the Bible. For your reference, 8th amendment: " Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted." |

Buddy Wouldn't you have loved to hear the conversation between Bill Clinton and Janet Reno about appointing a special prosecutor? You know that Janet Reno did not want some rabid dog guy, but Clinton wanted to make sure everyone knew that it was fair. It wasn't a fair investigation, of course. Starr had his orders for the RNC to damage Clinton any way he could. He exeded his mandate and finally found something. Do you think, for a flying minute that Bush would appoint a liberal special prosecutor? They would find him lying on the side of the road with birdshot wounds. This same Starr is now arguing against the death penalty for Morales. I guess it is whoever pays his fees... |
