I am with you on the pre-nups! As for the fun...seems like a waste of time to me... I wonder what kinds of problems that girl in Nebraska will have with her 15 mil? Maybe I should write and tell her I will be happy to help her out if the burden of all that money turns out to be too much for her...

My youngest daughter has done some extensive research on what to do if you should win, since this is a key part of her retirement (good thing she is only 35!!). LOL! She says: TELL NO ONE! Make five copies of the ticket and put three into a safe deposit box. Take the other two to a tax lawyer or certified estate planner and have him do the rest. Actually this makes sense, since if you go directly to the lottery HQ for verification, it is to their advantage to advertise the win. Me, I would probably just verify it myself and throw caution to the winds! |
