They signed the deal late 2004: China Rocks the Geopolitical Boat with Iran Oil Deal.

Now they're working out the details.

I believe Iran has complete contempt for any diplomacy going on around them.
IMO, their only involvement in diplomacy, would be to stall it long enough to complete their goal, nuclear weapons. UN sanctions will not stop them with China as their supply source.

Indeed, they do, when it comes to the West, especially the US. Because they have diplomativ relations in the East, they can play us against each other. They did it before from Eisenhower to Reagan.
