An Innocent Bystander Role-play Plot This is generally a “Jump in and play,” RP, seeing as the plot’s really easy to follow and it doesn’t quite matter when you join. But the actual plot is that as students of The Pokémon Justice Academy—PJA—we are given hands on training in the field of being Poképolice, stopping crimes, being sent on missions and other things…and before you ask, yes. Our parents have signed waivers acknowledging your potential serious harm or even death. But you wanted to go here, so that isn’t much of a problem, right? Setting The Pokémon Justice Academy, Koto City, Kinaray ![]() KEY:White/Very Light Green: Snow/Generally Cold Terrain Brown: Mountains Dark Green: Forest Average Green: Normal/Plains Points of Interest (Red) 1. Mirror Lake (A quiet and peaceful lake. You can see a clear reflection of yourself here…what’s that at the bottom?) 2. Old Castle (A castle from The Middle Ages that is now inhabited by incredibly strong Pokemon. There is supposedly a portal in the keep, leading to the shrine of the legendaries…though no one has ever made it that far, not to mention the door is locked. Where could the key be?) 3. Offshore Lighthouse Island (A small island, with only about twenty inhabitants. You can obtain Byron’s Tide Badge here. A reclusive hermit also lives here--he can teach most techniques that can’t be learned without help.) 4. Mt. Taiko (A volcano that no longer erupts, but a steady stream of magma flows down the south side and into the sea. Most rare Pokemon can be seen in/around this place, for those who might be interested.) 5. Mt. Bass (A desolate rocky mountain with a “barbaric,” tribe living in the upper reaches--how they grow their produce is unknown. This is where the Obsidian Conference is held.) 6. Shrine of the Legendaries (An immense shrine dedicated to the Legendary Pokémon of the world.) Cities/Towns (Yellow) 1. Tremolo Town (A fairly quiet town, with a tourist information center. This is where you‘ll find Rose Laboratories--where you obtain your first Pokémon if you don‘t have one already. Cyndaquil, Totodile, and Chikorita are the current starter Pokémon.) 2. Falsetto City (The world’s most empathetic city toward the arts. You can obtain Kai’s Blur Badge here) 3. Staccato Town (Bursting with foreign culture and influence. The Performer’s Contests for the Red Ribbon are held here) 4. Koto City (Kinaray’s capital. You can obtain Bruce’s Chi Badge here. In addition, the Performer’s Contests for the Blue Ribbon are held here) 5. Samisen City (The region’s most highly-populated city. Anyone registered in either The Combat League or The Performer’s league must have all eight badges, or the five Contest Ribbons to pass through the Northern Gate. The Police Headquarters is here as the area is a rather shady place…) 6. Zither Town (A quiet Oriental town. You can obtain Likeria’s Nature Badge here) 7. Guiro City (A major commercial center. You can obtain Eric’s Projectile Badge here. In addition, the Performer’s Contests for the Orange Ribbon are held here.) 8. Sitar City (A city built into an area with steep slopes and high altitudes, it’s very terraced. You can obtain Stryke’s Warrior Badge here. In addition, the Performer‘s Contests for the Yellow Ribbon are held here.) 9. Glockenspiel Town (Most army Veterans choose to live here, after they retire. You can obtain Marko’s Brute Badge here.) 10. Kalimba Town (A tropical town populated by the wealthy. You can obtain Llia’s Combo Badge here. In addition, the Performer’s Contests for the Purple Ribbon are held here.) 11. Celesta City (Set on the eastern most side of a small mountain chain, this city shines with architectural beauty. The goal of every Performer lies here; to obtain The Master Performer’s Ribbon. This contest is only held once a year. The Elite Arena is also here--those who have all eight badges can battle each other here.) ROUTES: Route 821— Tremolo/Staccato/Mirror Lake Route 822— Staccato/Falsetto/Mirror Lake Route 823— Falsetto/Old Castle Route 824— Staccato/Kalimba/Koto Route 825— Koto/Guiro Route 826— Guiro/Mt. Taiko/Sitar Route 827— Guiro/Sitar Route 828— Sitar/Zither Route 829— Guiro/Zither/Glockenspiel Route 830— Zither/Glockenspiel/Samisen Route 831— Falsetto/Offshore Lighthouse Island Route 832— Samisen/Mt. Bass/Celesta Rules There aren’t any specific rules for this RP. And all the ones I would list are covered in the rules section when you came to this forum. And this place is pretty small, so there shouldn’t be many problems. The only two things different is that you should have at least two paragraphs in each post (about ten {10} sentences.) Also, you should follow the guidelines in the signups. Signups
My Signup Name: Kimellion (Kim) Sagarashi Age: 15 Gender: Male Grade: A- Battle Style: Kimellion is big on planning and thinking ahead. He uses his imagination to put himself in a variety of situations and figures multiple ways out of them. When his plans don’t work out correctly, it can throw him off of his amazingly fast battle tempo, which can be quite a problem at times. When his plans don’t work, he ditches the idea of thinking through his commands and throws caution to the wind in an attempt to throw off his opponent long enough for him to think of something. Personality: In general, Kim’s an optimist, but for the most part, he seems much more pessimistic. His general person is rather deep and complex, layered with “masks,” that more often than not clash. At times, he can be somewhat of a bully, but others, he’s a true gentleman. Normally quiet, he tends to gravitate away from social contact, simply waiting for others to approach him instead. He doesn’t particularly like to sound like a bad person and tends to stick up for others whether they want him to or not. He has a fuse that really varies in length depending on how he feels in general. Most of the time, he manages to shrug things off, but direct insults tend to get on his nerves much faster. He enjoys a good mystery and more often than not is trying think of paradox statements, “we are all unique,” being his favorite. His brain works on logical thoughts for the majority and is almost always trying to find a reason for how everything works, hoping it’d give him an edge. Appearance: This was taken on School Photo Day. Pokémon Signup Species: Dragonaire (ROFL) Name: Solstice Gender: Male Personality: Somewhat protective and rather possessive of Kimellion, not normally letting anyone near his Trainer. But otherwise, he’s fairly cheerful. Defining Features: Solstice’s eyes are a deep green and it has something of a mental link with his Trainer. |

And now we start. ========================================+ I sighed as I leaned on the dorm room’s balcony. The flower field not too far away were easily visible and seemed quite beautiful from a distance. Almost like a giant paintbrush came down and smashed rainbows of bright colors into a field of grass. In the winter, when snow covered the ground, the fields just sort of shined with all those tiny ice crystals. And the flat surface made it great for hover boarding—one of the awesome things about this place just had to be the hover boards. I’d never really gotten to experience much of the academy’s social life, so I couldn’t quite be asked about that. But either way, it doesn’t matter as long as I learn what I need to. I suck at making friends anyway. It’s the first impression part that I can’t quite get right. Either way, life at The Pokémon Justice Academy was pretty good. A little homesickness at first, but otherwise, I loved it here. Maybe nearly getting flattened by an enraged Pokémon near twice my size, but as long as I don’t actually get killed, I don’t mind it. And did I mention that they’ve got this great hands-on learning thing? A knock on the door and a friggin’ ninja hands you this letter with some mission details, like who you’re going with and what you’re actually doing. Sometimes we even get to steal stuff from major criminal organizations. It’s awesome. Speaking of which, I was holding one of those letters right now… Wait, how’d that get in my hand in the first place? Like I said: Ninjas. Are. Awesome. Well, might as well read it. Operatives: Kimellion Sagarashi and Elvirianna Moriko Assignment Type: Sabotage Objective: The Red Strip Gang has finished development of a machine capable of forward and reverse evolution. Infiltrate RSG Kinaray HQ and destroy the machine. Take care to copy the blueprints onto a disk and destroy the original so as its sale on the black market can be prevented. Elvirianna walked slowly through the flower patch, clutching a letter she had just received. breathing softly, she let the cool breeze flow through her hair. Well, this is it. She thought silently to herself. This was her first assignment. She was a bit nervous but overall she wasn't too worried. What is the first assignment?" asked the voice of Cheila in her mind. Elvirianna silently read the letter. Location: 192 Crawson street, storage district, Samisen When she finished reading her stomach gave a little lurch. Sabotage? She had never done something like that before. Come come. It'll be fun! chided Cheila playfully. Depends what you call fun. answered Elvirianna. Oh please, Elvirianna shook her head. She looked up at the Academy Main Building. She could see the face of a young boy peering out the window. Signing softly again. She started back inside. It was time she got ready. |

Name: Ryuuto Mizu Age: 15 Gender: Male Grade: A Battle Style: He likes to hit hard and use evasion attacks to minimalize damage to his Vaporeon. Personality: Ryuuto is a person who appears to have unlimited patience. He is also calm in almost any situation, trying to think things through before he acts. Ryuuto is known to always follow what his head is telling him, refusing to follow his heart in most cases. He believes that if he follows his heart, then he will make the wrong decisions. Ryuuto is a bit distant, but it’s only because he really doesn’t know how to interact with other people. It may take a lot to anger him, but you can tell when he does get angry. His eyes will look like they were made of ice, his voice gets emotionless, and his body slightly tenses up. Ryuuto’s ferocity when angered is equal to a tidal wave. Appearance: Ryuuto Mizu Minus wings and credit goes to Zarean on Crater. :3 Pokémon Signup Species: Vaporeon Name: Siren Gender: Female Personality: Siren is very calm and collected. She’s always there for Ryuuto and has been with him ever since he can remember. Siren is almost always out of her Pokéball, making sure that Ryuuto doesn’t get into any trouble. After all, he’s been known to unwittingly cause trouble. Defining FeatureS: A silver crescent moon on her forehead. |

((OOC: Welcome to The Pokémon Justice Academy, Ryuuto. We take no responsibilty for your gruesome death. XP)) -Skipping about an hour of preparation. XD- The area around the helipad was abundant with life. All sorts of people in different uniforms ran about, doing this or that. Double-checking some random object. And a random group of scientists were obsessing over their own saliva. Well you get what I’m trying to tell you—the chaos had evolved into stupidity. Meanwhile, Solstice and I just had these blank looks in our eyes as we watched the people do what seemed to be nothing but jogging around the big tarmac square. “Rather disorganized today, aren’t they?” Solstice asked, resting over my shoulder. “Yeah…” I sighed, “Last time we had to travel like this, we didn’t need to wait while they got over themselves…” “Well, I guess they’re all still wishing that they were still on summer vacation,” Solstice shifted slightly, looking all across the area. “It doesn’t seem like that Elvirianna girl’s here yet. What do you think she’s like?” he questioned, changing the subject. “Hopefully, she won’t be like that other dude who thought he could do everything on his own. Shame he’s in jail for committing a crime for the government. Oh well. Serves him for not letting me help,” I said, slowly gravitating toward a nearby wall. |

Elvirianna tentatively walked near the door. Taking a deep breath she opened the door. Cheila followed after her. Elvirianna walked carefully to a woman behind a desk. "Ma'am-" "Name," "Oh. uh...Elvirianna," "You're late! They're waiting. Hurry and get inside!" shouted the woman, shoving Elvirianna and Cheila through the large door. Chaos seemed to have been bred here. Flashes of bodies ran past Elvirianna, making her dizzy. She had never seen such annoance in her life! Cheila, what do we do?” asked Elvirianna. Cheila yawned. Don’t ask me, ask him with the Dragonair, answered Cheila, pointing with her head toward a boy. His Dragonair was leaning on his shoulder. Nervously, Elvirianna walked to them, avoiding the many bodies that flew around her. |

“Maybe this is her,” Solstice said, pushing my head in the direction of a blonde with longer than long hair. I hope her hair doesn’t get in the way of anything… I thought as we both watched her step up to us, a Dragonaire by her side. “Hi,” I greeted in an undertone while Solstice craned far forward into the girl’s face. “I smell strawberries in her hair,” Solstice messaged back to me. I stifled a laugh as I rolled my eyes and pulled him backwards a bit. “Yes, knowing what shampoo she uses is very important,” I stage whispered to my faithful companion as my face turned red with embarrassment. I hugged him with a small smile. “Solstice likes the smell of your shampoo,” I said awkwardly. “So you’re Elvirianna?” |

Bytheway, Simon. There is no way I can call your Character "Kim." So it'll be Kime. I just can't call you a girl name. :ninja: XXD Elvirianna blushed slightly. She looked directly into the Dragonair's eyes. "Why thank you," she said. She then looked at the boy. "Yes I am. This is Cheila, my companion. You must be Kimellion,": said Elvirianna politely. Cheila looked carefully at Kimellion. He's a bit odd, don't you know," Cheila finally said. Cheila! Cheila arched her head to get a better look at the two. But they certainly grow on you," said Cheila, getting into Kimellion's face. "Uh," started Kimellion uncomfortably. Elvirianna pulled Cheila back. "Forgive her please. She doesn't always know her boundaries," said Elvirianna looking carefully at Cheila. What? asked Cheila innocently. Mind your manners. |

PJA, a famous Pokepolice Academy for young adults to train to become an officer of the law. Naturally, parents have to sign waivers and whatnot, but whatever. My parents didn't really care all that much, I wanted to join, so it's all good in my perfect world. Currently, I was outside of the main building with my best friend, a Vaporeon named Siren. She was a present from my parents on my tenth birthday and we've been friends ever since. So, naturally, we developed an understanding of each other and can communicate rather well between ourselves. Although, the silver star on her forehead was the only defining feature about her; singling her out from other Pokemon of her species. Did I forget to mention that PJA has ninjas that deliever you letters containing info about your next mission? Yeah, I just got one. Dang they're fast. At any rate, I opened the letter and read it outloud for Siren's sake. Operatives: Ryuuto Mizu Assignment Type: Observation and Possible Back-up Objective: Follow Operatives Kimellion and Elvirianna to provide immediate back-up if the need arises. Observe how they handle the mission and hand in a detailed report one day after the mission. Location: 192 Crawson street, storage district, Samisen Okaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy...basically, I'm evaluating two operatives? I don't think I should question the reasons behind it, so I pocket the letter. Siren turned to face me, her intelligent, sapphire eyes staring up into my patient, emerald ones. "Well, let's get moving," Siren said to me. I only nodded my acknowledgement to her logic, walking down to the location I was to observe the two students at. Why in the world did they choose me to do this sort of thing? That is beyond me. |

((OOC: Why not? I know a guy named Kim. He came from a country in Asia, though, so I'm not sure what it's a shortening of.)) -Meh. Skipping a few minutes...again.- In a beam of gold light, Solstice was withdrawn to his Luxury Ball. I'd never quite thought of how much he must've cost my parents. You could tell that it was a humongous surprise to have a Dratini as a birthday present—out of thousands of different Pokémon I could've gotten. Cheila had already been recalled as the two of us boarded the whirly-bird. Sort of a funny name. Whirl-ee-berd. I wonder who thought of calling a helicopter that? And why call it a ghetto bird? I mean seriously, it's easier to say chopper, rather than anything else. Maybe a heli, but not everybody knows what that means. Either way, the pilot had to run off and use the little fruit's room. Yes, did I mention the guy liked men? Some of those ninjas tell the students the strangest things. Then they dude in black offered if I wanted to see pictures of proof. Of course, I closed the door on them after that. Talk about a major case of disturbia. Anyway, I practiced spinning the luxury ball on my finger, like I'd seen so many of the in-crowd students do. It was a lot harder than it looked—especially since a Pokéball is made out of light-weight alloy and is about the size of a tennis ball. And I absolutely sucked at small talk. Especially with girls. |

Ok, wow. Who knew the cargo compartment was so freakin' SMALL? Poor Siren was forced to go inside her Fast Ball! I sigh quietly as I tried to get into a comfortable position. That ninja and the pilot would check in on me every once in a while. They weren't familiar to me, but I appreciated it all the same. At any rate, I think the helicopter was starting to land. Either that or we were experiencing turbulence. If that's the case, I am gonna kill whoever sent me on this mission. This is not my forte. |

Don't you know it's crowded in here. You know I hate Pokeballs, complained Cheila. I know, but they told me you had to return to your Pokeball. Please understand, said Elvirianna quietly. Humph, let's trade places. I want to be the human and you be the Dragonair, said Cheila. Sounds like an idea, Cheila, said Elvirianna, smiling to herself. She was sitting across from the Kime. He looked sulky. Elvirianna tried to open her mouth to avoid the awkward silence, but she couldn't think of anything to say that was important. Then finally, "What are we going to do to accomplish the objective?" asked Elvirianna. The boy looked startled that she had asked him something. |

Well... You know, I never really put that much thought into my missions," was my reply. Ignoring, Solstice's mental comment I continued on, "We have the bomb to destroy the machine... We've also got to copy the blueprints onto a disk. Basically, all we do is sneak in and blow the thing to smithereens—the only complicated part would be getting around the security," I said. Solstice began to project his voice between the four of us. "Well, The Red Stripe Gang has never been quite bright. They aren't what I'd call clever, unlike Kim. He just doesn't think much." I rolled my eyes with a sigh. "There are a variety of ways to sneak into a warehouse. We can just drop through the roof—fairly simple. It's a warehouse, so it won't be difficult getting in, but we might have some guard trouble when we get into the actual base." "Like I said. Fairly simple," I concluded as the helicopter landed in a grass field near Samisen. |
