Okay, the purpose of this thread is for finding a place to shove all the different intelligent/semi-intelligent creatures we've made up on our own. Things that already exist, don't go here.

Note that by posting the information here, you give all passersby permission to use that race in any RP they come across, provided the RP allows. Not to mention, just being able to put a link describing the race would be much more convenient than typing out or copying and pasting several paragraphs, wouldn't it?

And the simple template is as follows...

Name of Race
General Appearance of race
Traits of race (As in things that go beyond the eye.)

>And when time comes a need, I'll add page-links on the different races that've been submitted. And of course, they'll be listed in alphabetical order.<

Name of race: Bipedal Monzart/Quadruped Monzart

General appearance of race:
Monzarts are bipedal and quadruped monsters with somewhat soft fur, claws, are carnivorous, and lack genitals (Monzarts don’t wear pants and…yeah, you get why I said that. -_-” Self-censorship.) The average size of newborn Monzart children is half a foot and roughly three pounds. Bipedal adult males in the peak of their lifespan tend to reach heights in minor excess of seven feet and normally weighing in between 221 and 297 pounds depending on muscularity and build. Adult Females are generally smaller, usually standing a little shorter than six feet and eleven inches, normally weighing 196 pounds.

Their eye colors consist of various shades and blends of near every color with vertically stretched pupils while their fur is generally jet black and something of a beige color that leans toward being yellow. The fur patterns across their bodies vary between beings, but are generally the same among packs.

Their noses are generally small and black, resembling a cat’s nose in a sense, while their heads are generally elongated in an arrow-like shape. Small fangs protrude from their upper lip. Pointed and thick triangular ears pivot on small joints at the base to much better catch sounds. A Monzart’s ears are clearly placed just behind the eyes and are just noticeable attached to the head above the end height of the eye top. Their eyes are inexplicably large, being a fang’s length away from being as long as the opening margin of their jaw, which is lined with small, but fairly sharp teeth. The back of the head meets the neck at an angle that points it only slightly downward. This is due to Monzarts having evolved from bipedal creatures, causing the neck to be curved enough to keep the head facing forward at a natural angle.

Their bodies generally compose the majority of their height, the legs being short enough—generally shorter than their arms—to allow easy maneuverability whether or not the Monzart is in a bipedal stance, or a quadruped stance—this is also another reason for retaining their quadruped necks. Their actual body is somewhat broad and are generally muscular without showing any indication. Male bodies are generally thicker, wider and slightly curved forward, with thicker fur that emphasizes much more motion at the joints. Meanwhile female bodies are thinner and have a broad hourglass shape when viewed directly from the front or back, in very similar ways to female humans. Their bodies aren’t normally as powerful as that of a male, but possess much higher mobility due to a shorter coat of fur and looser joints. Both genders, however, have similarly sized hands and feet. Their hands have a single thumb and five fingers in similar length and fashion to humans, their fingers ending in pointed claws. Their feet are also general human length, though normally somewhat shorter when placed onto their somewhat broad legs.

Monzarts are separated into two distinct groups: One group is naturally bipedal, while the other is quadruped.
The quadruped group has little differences. The first noticeable difference is much more adept movement, due to the bipedal Monzarts having only recently (several thousand years,) evolved from being quadruped creatures. In actual appearance, they lack shoulders and their “arms” have grown shorter, but are still able to move in a broad, cone-like angle that falls roughly forty-five degrees short of a full hemisphere. Their “arms,” don’t have elbows—only the wrists remain the hands turning into paws of a sort that seem to have much less developed fingers, the arms have grown thicker to match the size of these primitive hands, and their legs are also shorter and lack knees, the length difference due to the torso being lengthened by connecting the legs around where the knees used to be with a broader distance between them, the new space being occupied by a flexible system of muscles and bones that allow the legs a cone of pivotal movement similar to the arms. The quadruped grouping of Monzarts generally stand at around two feet and seven inches, while their weight stays the same. However, their length and bipedal height is reduced to only slight excess of six feet for males and generally five feet and nine inches in length for females. In addition, their bodies are also generally stronger, having the ability to jump reasonably higher than their quadruped height and have been know to carry as much as four hundred pounds on their back while still managing to move with relative ease, even though they may become winded more quickly.
(Did that make sense…?)

Traits of Race:
Monzarts possess peculiar powers over fire, being able to convert certain unneeded gases (like carbon dioxide,) into fire of which they can breath out in anything from a short jet, to a long-lasting, powerful column, resembling dragons in a way. The Monzarts generally use this power for fatal combat forms with an intent to kill or an extreme measure of self defense.

Even though Monzarts are intelligent and speak in their own language, they’re still seen as animals by most forms of intelligent life and have thus, been put on the black market as exotic pets, as certain Dragonese laws made the sale and purchase of Monzarts illegal.

Their eyesight leaves more to be desired, but is more than made up for with an excellent sense of smell and the ability to hear sounds most other intelligent creatures can’t.

Name of Race: Star Crosser
General Appearance of race: A Star Crosser looks very much like a human, but they have a few key differences. They have a tattoo located somewhere appropriate on their body. The tattoo is in the form of a silver or gold star, depending on their skin color. This star is their most defining feature as it allows them to tap into the power of the star or constellation they were named after. Their eyes are also unusual in color and that they seem to burn like a star. It is another defining feature they have that separates them from other humans.

Usually, they have a pale complexion, even if they were out in the sun for most of their lives. Sometimes, a Star Crosser can have very lightly tanned skin. It isn't rare, but it's not uncommon either. At night, their skin takes the color of starlight and returns to normal as soon as the sun starts to rise.

Traits of race: The tattoo on the people of this race glows whenever the Star Crosser uses their power. It gives the Star Crosser certain abilities that depends on their name. For example, if a Star Crosser named Cygnus tapped into his or her power, that person would be able to use the element of ice to their advantage and the star would glow pale blue.

Although each Star Crosser has their own unique abilities, the only ability they have in common would be their ability to summon and dismiss wings. Of course, the only draw back to this ability is that it only works at night. The wings are composed of starlight and, if the moon is out, moonlight. Star Crossers cannot use sunlight as they are beings of the night.

Star Crossers are very intelligent and all love to either write or draw. Sometimes a Star Crosser does both, but that's pretty rare. This race particularly likes mythology and that results in all of them possessing the ability to read. They are also adept in the art of fighting and appear to fight much better at night than in the day.

Sometimes, a star they were named after goes into their supernova stage. If that were to happen, the Star Crosser basically dies with their star. Once another star is born, a Star Crosser is also born. Their star/constellation is the only way a Star Crosser can live normally, but this is not the only way they can die. If a person were to stab right through their tattoo, there is a possibility that the Star Crosser would die. Of course, with immediate treatment the Star Crosser could live.
