Posts: 749 Group: Admin Member #1 Joined: December 14, 2006	I recently moved from my mom's house to my dad's house (which is why I haven't been on very much recently). I got my dad's (six year) old Mac laptop. It's got a MS Word (0.o?), an picture editor/art program, iTunes, yadda, yadda, yadda. It even has a recently-aquired Airport card--the Mac version of a wireless connection. My dad's current laptop has one as well, and can easily connect to the internet. Mine on the other hand, doesn't understand the concept of using our wireless router to access the internet. I'm not 100% positive it realizes its existance, actually. shakes head Anyway, we've been working on this for almost a week now. We've gotten suggestions and stuff from one of my dad's computer-geek buddies, but it's still not working. In fact, the only reason I can get on right now is because I'm visiting my mom for the weekend. Hopefully we'll get it fixed sometime soon, like... in the coming week. 'Cause the week after that, I'm leaving to go on vaction to South Carolina. Other things aren't working too. My DS can't access the Nintendo WFC, the Paint-like program sucks... oh yeah. I can't do anything other than scratch spriting or drawings for a while. The photo editor (AppleWorks) has an eye dropper tool, but it won't let you select a color that isn't already in its pre-set palette. You can create colors based on the RBG numbers, but I don't want to figure those out for every single sprite in existance. I might be able to figure out the numbers for my own palettes, but.... sigh I'll still be able to do drawings and stuff, but I can't access a scanner easily.... Yet. My mom's gonna buy me a printer/scanner thingy for school, but who knows how long that'll take? I think Word is the only program I don't hate on it at the moment. Except for Civilization 3. I really miss the right-click on the mouse. T.T At least I have one of those too.... My hope is that, in the end, I'll have a laptop with OS X (instead of 9.1. My dad's still not sure he wants to pay the extra money to update it) or internet access in the very least, a printer/scanner, and some sort of Photoshop thing from the web. Yay freeware? I trust that Ramzam and Anthezar will keep things running smoothly in my absence (not that we've ever had much of a problem on this forum in the first place XD).
