New Member Posts: 25 Group: Members Member #23 Joined: January 30, 2007	Chapter 1: Eevee? Sam checked his supplies once more. He was 11, with curly dark blonde hair. His eyes were light brown; he looked about 5'. He was currently wearing a green coat (Which was his favourite colour) with a black shirt underneath. He was also wearing blue jeans, and black trainers, with the logo on the side in white: Image coming soon Pika-shoes, Sam snickered at thename. He checked his watch, 8:58. He had two minutes! He ran downstairs, as his Mum saw him off. "Be good!" She yelled pointlessly. Sam was already halfway down the path. He nearly hit the lab walls due to the speed he was running at. 9:06. He was too late. He slowly went into the lab, and the Proffessor looked up from his research. "Ah, Sam! I've been waiting for you." Oak told Sam, handing him a Pokeball. "You can have this Eevee." "Eevee? What's that?" Sam asked, taking the Pokeball from Oak's hands. "It's a very rare pokemon. It can evolve into seven different types of pokemon!" Oak replied, his face filled with joy. "You're like Ash" He told Sam, recalling memories "He slept in and got a Pikachu. It didn't like him back then, shocked him all the time!" Oak chuckled, why Sam remembered seeing a report about Ash Ketchum. A Legendary trainer, Sam wanted to be better. Sam threw his Pokeball, which flashed a white light and Sam was blinded. He'd get used to it, he told himself. A small, brown dog-like thing was where the light was a second ago, and it let out a high-pitched squel, "Eve!" Sam thought for a split second, then instantly jolted. "Eve! That's what i'll call her!" He exclaimed at Oak, who smiled. Sam returned Eve back into her pokeball, then started walking back outside. He turned and waved at Oak, who smiled again and waved back, before he pushed through the sky blue tinted glass to the outside world. He was welcomed by a gentle breeze from the wind, which made him shiver slightly. Suddenly, the doors behind Sam flew open, and one of Oak's Aides walked out. "Sam! I'm so glad I caught up with you! I've got some things for you, a Pokedex, which is used for finding information on pokemon, a Pokenav, short for Pokemon Navigator, which is used for calling registered trainers, finding locations, and checking certain Contest information. Contests start in Vermillion, so don't worry about them yet. And i've also got some empty Pokeballs for you. You can use these to catch pokemon, but be warned, you can only carry six pokemon with you. All your other pokemon go to the PC Storage System, where your unused pokemon are kept safe, sound and well fed. It was invented by Bill, so if you use it you should thank him for it. Oh yes, and take these two things as well. A Great Ball, and this Region Ticket. In Vermillion, there's a ship which can take you to other regions, specifically Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh and Orre. Well, have a nice journey, hope to see you on the TV sometimes!" Sam smiled and thanked him, before walking over to the outskirts of Route 1.

Everybody's Favorite DDR Posts: 832 Group: Moderators Member #4 Joined: December 16, 2006	Pika-shoes? Anyway, it's good, so far. But I thought kids became trainers at ten...and the shoes sound like Adidas. Heh. It's funny how there are fanfics like this, that have the trainer starting out with pokemon they aren't supposed to--Eevee is the most common, then there are others that are totally out of the region, but it doesn't seem to matter, because they think it's cute. Well, I've said enough off topic stuff, for now, so down to business. I'm really willing to see where this goes, which means you MUST update...or I'll hunt you down.
