Guides:
Dragonfly Cave for fusing, etc
freewebs.com/howtosprite also for fusing, etc <^_^>
neopets.com/jolteon55_2000 for making trainer cards. Has templates for cards and badges
...and i may make my own

Sprite resources:
Pokemon Elite 2000. The best sprite resource ever, in my opinion. there's only one other site you shoud bother with, and that is...
The Pokemon Sprite Generator (part of Dragonfly Cave). Yup. They have a sprite generator, too. Also has a random feature.

Image upload sites:
ImageShack. The main problem with ImageShack is that any image uploaded onto it links to ImageShack, and they don't like you to change the code to save their bandwidth. Copy and paste the first code they give you to show your image in the forums.
PhotoBucket. Probably a better bet than ImageShack. The codes are much more straightforward. An account is needed, but it saves anything you upload. You can also change where the image links to ^_^
TinyPic. I don't use this, I usually use PhotoBucket. I do know that it make the code shorter to save room in posts, signatures, etc.

A very short guide to animating, in Nya's own patented style (that she's nice enough to let you borrow):
1.Download a free animator from here.
2.open paint twice
3.in the first one, put the sprites where they're going to be, then copy and paste them in the first paint however many times you think you'll need frames
4.draw in the "animated" part, what the sprites are doing, on all the "frames"
5.copy the first frame into the second paint
6.save as .gif. it will say there will be a loss of color info, but that's ok. leave paint open, and don't clear the frame
7.paste the frame again, over the old one
8.save
9.now the frame won't look like a .gif. don't know how it works, but it does
[Alternate step: Instead of doing steps 6-9, you can upload the frames here and select "convert to GIF"]
10.clear the frame
11.repeat steps 4-9 for all the frames
12.upload into the .gif animator
13.do some minor tweaking with the time and such, and you'll be done!

Finally, remember the golden rule of spriting: Always save as a .PNG!

*more will probably be added as time wears on*
