You know what I do? Try to relax. Let your characters be themselves. Start writing nonsense about that. Like the little things and you'll be surprise that they'll run away with your story and you'll just have to keep up with them. Often there are sparks of ideas that come to us. Take Taraline. I haven't a clue what's going to happen in the story. I just had a very good beginning but there's no meat in it yet. But once you start writing it seems to flow out of you. Try sitting down for 1 hour and say to yourself I'm going to write something. Even if you start out saying, I don't know what to write 5 times. And then thoughts will start to flow out of you. Most writters don't know what's going to happen in their book. They just flow with it. Others like J.K Rowling map out their whole book before writting. Me? I'm in the middle. I have a beginning and a powerful end but no middle. That's how it is for two of my books. >_> But once I keep writing new ideas start to flow. Ok I'm done now. Hopefully this'll help you.
