Chapter 6

“I don’t see why I had to go rescue Nurse Joy. Why couldn’t Dad do it? This sort of thing just isn’t fair, right, Crocanaw?” Kiero asked, walking down the path. Crocanaw had it’s arms crossed.
“Not really. You did just let those guys get away with Nurse Joy. What? You expected me to run after them?” Crocanaw asked. “You really should take more responsibility, if you want to be like your Father--you can’t sit around, playing Solitaire.”
“Fine, I get the point!” Kiero moaned. “But I stink, when it comes to fighting. It’s not that you or any of my other pokemon aren’t strong.” He said, putting his hands behind his head. “At least I don’t have to worry about getting killed as much as Dad. He’s after people who want to kill him, for stuff he’s done years ago.” He added. As he and Crocanaw walked, they could soon see one of the men in black, running into a hidden passage. Kiero grabbed a pokeball from his belt and ran after the man, recalling Crocanaw. “Ha! I’ve got you--” He began to say, but stopped. The man was gone, but instead was a long, metal hallway. Without thinking, he ran down it. Eventually the man came back into view. They were both still running. “Hold it! Zigzagoon, use quick attack!” Kiero shouted, throwing the pokeball and as Zigzagoon emerged, from the pokeball, it shot forward, with a stream of white behind it. Zigzagoon rammed into the man’s back, knocking him over. “Alright, I want answers! Where’s nurse joy?” Kiero asked, jumping on the man.
“I ain’t telling you anything, Squirt!” The man shouted.
“I’ll make Crocanaw bite you!” Kiero threatened, taking Crocanaw’s pokeball, from his belt.
“Right, like I’m going to let it. Alright, Boys! Get him!” The man shouted as several other men in black suits came up behind Kiero. He turned around, as the men grabbed him.
“What makes you think this’ll work?” One of the men asked.
“It’s simple. Now that we’ve got his brat of a son, he’s got to come and save him. He’s only got two pokemon, so that’s when we bum-rush him.” Said the lead man.
“Not if I can help it! Mudkip, hydro pump!” Came a familiar voice. A large blast of water hit the group of men, knocking them all down. The lead turned around. Now that Kiero got a good look at the man, he realized it was Jason.
“Who invited you, Likeria?” He growled.
“I invited myself, since you left the door open.” Likeria answered. “Now let the boy go!” She snapped.
“No!” Came Jason’s answer. “I’m going to get revenge on Riveing, for killing my father!”
“But that was an accident! Do you think Riveing would purposely drop a stone archway on an old man?” Likeria asked.
“What’s the difference? He’s a MURDERER! He kills people for the hell of it!” Jason shouted, not paying attention to Kiero, who’d slipped past and was continuing past the unconscious men, down the hall.
“No he doesn’t! And there’s a HUGE difference! If he purposely killed him, then he would have directed Dragonite to break that archway. It was just a mis-guided attack! Get over it!” She shouted.
“Do you really think it’s that easy to forgive a murderer?” Jason asked. “I sure don’t. Why do you think it’s alright to kill?” He added.
“I don’t! You’re not getting the point!” Likeria shouted. “You should at least try to be friends again! Haven’t you listened to what your mother always told you? ‘Those who strive to do one thing to another, may end up in that situation, but in reverse?’ If you keep trying to kill Riveing, he’ll just end up killing you!” She said, looking at him. “If you aren’t going to change your mind, you’ll have to kill ME first!” She shouted.
“Fine then.” Jason said, quietly, as he took a pokeball from his belt.

“Riveing, don’t you think you should hurry? Who knows what trouble your son might be getting yourself into?” Firingo asked .
“Hey, I’m running as fast as I can, here. I’m not some sort of ninja.” Riveing said, as he ran down the same path Kiero had gone down. The sound of Firingo’s voice had once again brought up the memory of his death. “Go haunt someone else.” He added, as he made his way to the opening of the metal hallway.
“What? You don’t want my help?” Firingo asked.
“Just go away and find some other medium to talk to me with.” Riveing said, now running through the hall. He felt Firingo’s presence leave his head, as he came across Likeria’s body, lying on the floor. He propped her up against the wall and checked for a pulse. No pulse, but she was soaking wet. He stood up and angrily looked down the hall. “Alright, I’ve had enough! This ends today! Damn you, Jason! I’m gonna be the last thing you’ll EVER see!” He yelled, dashing down the hallway, with a pokeball in his hand.

“Ah! Zigzagoon!” Kiero shouted as his fainted Zigzagoon slid to the floor beside him. He recalled it and reached for his last pokeball. He was up against a member of The Red Stripe Gang. “You can do this, Crocanaw.” He shouted, throwing Crocanaw’s pokeball. Stripe had a cyndaquil, that was on it’s last leg.
“Right, let’s finish it with water gun.” Kiero said and Crocanaw unleashed a stream of water at cyndaquil, but it didn’t bother get try to get away.
“Hmph. I’ve played with you enough.” Stripe said, recalling Cyndaquil. “Special delivery from Team Magnum! Go! Seviper!” Stripe shouted, throwing her last pokeball. A seviper that was enlarged four times it’s normal size, came from the pokeball. “I might as well tell you how I got this, since you won’t be living much longer. Team Magnum’s got a machine that can enlarge pokemon and increase their strength, as well. But, I’m not telling you anymore. After all, I’m not going to let you get away.” Stripe said, then pointed at him. “Seviper, use iron tail on Crocanaw, then deal with the boy, afterward!” She shouted and Seviper’s tail glowed white, as it slammed it into Crocanaw.
“No!” Kiero shouted, recalling Crocanaw, as it flew through the air. He turned back to Stripe and Seviper.
“Do what you want to the boy, just get rid of him.” Stripe said and Seviper reared it’s head back.
“Sceptile, use vine whip!” Came Riveing’s voice, as two vines lashed out and pulled Kiero away, just as Seviper’s head came crashing into the ground. He turned around, as Riveing recalled Sceptile and sent out Dragonite.
“But didn’t Dragonite faint in the last battle you had?” Kiero asked, confused. Riveing gave Kiero a strange potion.
“They had a few max revives in this place, so I took some.” Riveing answered, looking at the confused Seviper. Stripe was laughing.
“I guess you hit him so hard, he disappeared, when you hit him!” She shouted. Kiero chuckled, as Seviper looked at the large hole it left, in amazement.
“Stay back.” Riveing said. “Dragonite, use spirit charge.” He whispered and Dragonite began to glow with a white aura. Kiero stepped away. “Now! Use hyper beam!” He shouted and Dragonite hit Seviper in the side of the head, with a beam of orange, swirling energy. The attack didn’t seem to do much, but it seemed as if it did damage. Riveing and Dragonite separated from Kiero, who hid in an alcove.
“Seviper! Tackle!” Strip shouted and Seviper lunged forward at them. Dragonite knew enough to dodge on it’s own and Riveing jumped out of the way as well. Seviper hit the wall, since it’s size made the battlefield a cramped area.
“Now, Dragonite! Use dragon’s wrath!” Riveing shouted. Dragon’s wrath was the next step up, from dragon rage. Dragonite opened it’s mouth and shot three red beams, each spin around each other, then rocketed straight into Seviper. “Now that’s what I call a direct hit.” Riveing said, as the attack drove Seviper into the wall with more force than it’s tackle had.
“Come on, use Iron tail!” Stripe shouted and without looking, Seviper swung it’s glowing tail, as it turned around, completely missing Riveing and Dragonite. Stripe was starting to get frustrated.
“Alright, use hyper beam again!” Riveing shouted and Dragonite sent the familiar beam of orange, swirling energy, from it’s mouth, hitting Seviper in the head.
“This is just stupid! Seviper return!” Stripe shouted, recalling her seviper. “We’ll meet again! I’m not about to waste my time on small fry, like you!” She added and ran off.
“Look who’s talking, you just ran from a fight.” Kiero said, under his breath. “Hey, Dad. I heard there’s some machine in here, that’s making those huge pokemon. Have you seen something like that?” He asked.
“I already destroyed it.” Riveing said. “That’s been around for years--since I was your age. No one really used it, so it was put here. Apparently they found a use for it.” He added. “That bastard Jason wasn’t anywhere, either. He must’ve took off. Nurse Joy’s headed back to the pokecenter, with a couple other trainers. The only reason I came, was because I just had a feeling you’d need help.” He said. Suddenly, time around him stopped and everything grew dark. He could see the portal to the other world.
“Hm…so that machine was the cause of Geenara’s giant charizard…I see. “ Said the voice. “It appears your son can hold his own, against normal pokemon, but he’ll need help with those larger ones.” It added.
“You think? Why don’t you show yourself? Give me a name or something!” Riveing shouted, into the darkness.
“That is for you to find out in time. Until then, farewell.” Said the voice and the darkness disappeared, as time began to flow again.

Yes, I know that was a short chapter, but oh well. I’m starting to lose interest in this story, but that doesn’t mean I don’t intend to finish it. Anyway, that’s my update for the time being, so I’m just gonna leave you hanging until the next update…if you’re still reading this.
