As if I don't know that I do know. ;3 =====================================================+================================== It was the king’s birthday. This meant that the entire city of Markeiss was celebrating. A day that many artists sought to immortalize in their paintings. Maybe that’s why Mati had brought Quaewr here? The myriad of colors would prove to be a challenge. “Aldatts,” Mati commanded, undoing the bindings that held her to the beast, relieving herself of the belly-down position and freeing her mount to hold their head high. Quaewr yawned something audible as he laid himself down, resting upon the warm cobblestone paving of a vacant lot. The command, “aldatts,” was the Avician equivalent of, “rest.” When his electroception assured him that Mati was clear out of the way, he reached into a large bag resting near his shoulder and pulled out an enormous spell book. “Id kriela lenige varie‘l*,” the Oil Mouth mumbled over his shoulder as he flipped through the pages and found one that he’d marked with a small piece of wood. _______________________________________________________________ (preposition) Id—when placed before verbs it indicates not to do so. I.E. in this context it means, “do not become lost.” (verb) Kriela—to become lost (adjective) Lenige—inside (noun) Varie—crowd (modifier?) ‘l—sound placed after a noun to denote plural meaning. Put together, the sentence translates to (literally): “Do not become lost inside crowds.” |
