Only short stories. The longest a story can be is three chapters. No images, except for smilies outside of the story. If you're writing a short story, you probably don't need pictures. NO flaming. I cannot stress this enough. Only constructive criticism is allowed. No links. No stealing someone else's work. Don't do a rushed story. Just because they're "short," that doesn't mean they're something you do too quickly because you're bored. All script-style stories must be at least 50 lines of text. "Traditional" short stories (AKA: with paragraphs) must be at least 10 paragraphs of four or more sentences. The requirements for short stories at slightly higher because you should (supposedly) have to fit your complete plot (exposition, rising action, climax, etc.) in a smaller space. Therefore, you should be using more space to do as such. No competitions. They belong in the Story Contests, and will be moved there. If you have a collection of short stories, please try to put them all in one topic. You won't get in trouble for exceding the chapter limit, and it prevents too many extra topics. Follow the "Calling all Writers" rules. Swearing is allowed, as long as you don't try to dodge the word censors, and your story is more than a constant exchange of cursing. I am sorry about any problems the line limit may cause, but it is to prevent future problems. ***subject to change*** |
