What pastels did you use anyway? I tried some pencil pastels, but deemed them as, "useless. Crappy. Waste of time and money that could have been better spent on and with better artistic utensils." Why? Because using sandpaper to sharpen them is just tedious and the tip wears down in about a few minutes.
