Name of Race: Star Crosser General Appearance of race: A Star Crosser looks very much like a human, but they have a few key differences. They have a tattoo located somewhere appropriate on their body. The tattoo is in the form of a silver or gold star, depending on their skin color. This star is their most defining feature as it allows them to tap into the power of the star or constellation they were named after. Their eyes are also unusual in color and that they seem to burn like a star. It is another defining feature they have that separates them from other humans. Usually, they have a pale complexion, even if they were out in the sun for most of their lives. Sometimes, a Star Crosser can have very lightly tanned skin. It isn't rare, but it's not uncommon either. At night, their skin takes the color of starlight and returns to normal as soon as the sun starts to rise. Traits of race: The tattoo on the people of this race glows whenever the Star Crosser uses their power. It gives the Star Crosser certain abilities that depends on their name. For example, if a Star Crosser named Cygnus tapped into his or her power, that person would be able to use the element of ice to their advantage and the star would glow pale blue. Although each Star Crosser has their own unique abilities, the only ability they have in common would be their ability to summon and dismiss wings. Of course, the only draw back to this ability is that it only works at night. The wings are composed of starlight and, if the moon is out, moonlight. Star Crossers cannot use sunlight as they are beings of the night. Star Crossers are very intelligent and all love to either write or draw. Sometimes a Star Crosser does both, but that's pretty rare. This race particularly likes mythology and that results in all of them possessing the ability to read. They are also adept in the art of fighting and appear to fight much better at night than in the day. Sometimes, a star they were named after goes into their supernova stage. If that were to happen, the Star Crosser basically dies with their star. Once another star is born, a Star Crosser is also born. Their star/constellation is the only way a Star Crosser can live normally, but this is not the only way they can die. If a person were to stab right through their tattoo, there is a possibility that the Star Crosser would die. Of course, with immediate treatment the Star Crosser could live. |
