Just in case we've still got a few stragglers around here, I just sent out this email:

To those of you that were once a part of the CCRPG Community,
I hope you're all doing very well. It's been a long time since I sent out one of these emails, but there's some news that some of you who enjoyed your stay at CCRPG might be interested in. I'll be brief:

1. Reian and Red Lieutenant have erected a new reboot of CCRPG, so I'd like to use this mailing list to announce it on their behalf. I don't know the particulars, but if you're interested, feel free to join at: http://z13.invisionfree.com/New_CCRPG/index.php. I may venture over there myself and join in. As Red says "Good games never die, they just fade away." I hope we can keep some of the CCRPG community together, we've had a good run in the past!

2. I hadn't intended to make any announcements on my behalf, but with the opportunity, I suppose I can briefly point you to the new direction that I have taken my game design/online social studies in. I have teamed up with several of my colleagues to create a new site called "Sporder" (short for Spontaneous Order). It's both a blog that highlights spontaneous orders within online games and the real world, as well as a development project for making spontaneous-ordered games for research and enjoyment. It's definitely a different direction than CCRPG's typical, but if you look closely the elements are similar, and if you've followed my work or interests, this would be a predictable outcome. Anyways, I won't hijack this email to explain it more - feel free to observe at http://sporder.net. For the CCRPG-Sporder connection, read: http://sporder.net/2011/07/27/how-sporder-came-to-be/.

Hope to see some people on the new boards; Keep in touch!

All the best,
Ryan
