Alright, so everyone knows, in all probability, the Interim version will come out tomorrow [Sunday] sometime.

Most if not all major elements are in place. The difference between getting it out tomorrow or Monday is how much of the website I get done (for scripting and general public information - we're going mass market NOW).

I'll send out a mass email when it happens. Then hopefully we'll see a lot of old familiar (and new!) faces.

I liked classic CCRPG because then I could put in little effort and still get the desired result. All the new rules demotivate me and I end up just giving up after like two income reports.

But this version is supposed to last multiple months at least to (if not after) the new version comes out. For that reason it should be at least a bit more complicated than classic CCRPG because we need to play it longer.

That's why I'm writing scripts to help us, see the website when it's finished. ^_^ You'll probably spend even less time on your country than in version 3.

Also, I'm having a discussion with the Development Team as to whether we will fully automate this interim version immediately...standby for more info.

And this also gives us a chance to experiment and add complexity and realism. After a long time, basic things get boring...I remember a few times in each version we were all really bored and had to 'make up' wars just to pass the time.

Complexity solves that problem.

About the Tactical Battle Maps, how are terrain features and structures placed? How is the map generated?

Currently, I just made tactical maps for each territory terrain-type - MAPS, in the future it would be nice if they were randomly generated.

The player can place their infrastructure in any sector within the map, as long as they keep track of it in their profile; it would be nice if they could make a custom map showing everything.

Maybe we can assign someone or a couple people to do that for people if they can't themselves.

I'm sorry, having lots of maps everywhere is a bookkeeping nightmare...doesn't that get automated too?
