Thanks for leaving my armies intact, Cow and Mike. You'll regret it

No, I won't.

I'm sure you will. My heroes in Lemburg already ripped the heart out of your armies, and Ares is doing an excellent job mopping up. All I have to do is take care of that last chunk left in Lemburg, which should be easy.

Some advice: Ally with the smart idiots next time!

Oh no, I think what Mike meant is that he has given up because he was expecting this game to be different (turn-based).

Oh.

Meh, after we finish crushing them, we should probably start a new game. Three best-friend superpowers is going to make a boring game afterward :(

For our next game, I vote for a multi-day grace period for conquering NPC nations and building up huge armies, so we can have real awesome wars rather than one or two all-or-nothing showdowns.

Buaha. Games always have a way of getting interesting, especially with someone who's loyalty is as wavering as AD's is.

You're right, Astro, I do owe you big, and Ares, too. Therefore, I will give you any and all land that I/we take in Turkey and Greece (I'd like the northern Balkans). Ares can keep northern Russia, but I would like to have the south. I would, however, intsenely like having Trieste back.

However, let's take care of business first. I now have 50 regiments bearing down on the final concentration of Ottoman troops in Sarajevo. I have 30 more regiments bearing down on the Russians in Lemburg. And I have more grouping up for follow-ups.

Thanks for leaving my armies intact, Cow and Mike. You'll regret it

[size0]I have troops down there too Wraith, though they are mostly being used as protectors for A_D's territory lol

My loyalty doesn't waver! It merely sways just a teensy bit :P Also, France has helped the most in this war ^_^

I sent you my proposal for carving the land up so maybe we can talk something out.

I'm game for a new game. It'd be my third at the moment lol

Well, since Ares left and Tiduos kinda doesn't care, this game will only boil down to an inevitable ultimate showdown (read: bloodbath) between me and A_D. Anyone up for a new one? I'd like at least 5 volunteers.

I'll play a new game for once. :o

Looks like fun - someone just give me a quick run-down - is it like Diplomacy?

It's similar, but a little more complicated. You start as one of ten playable nations (Morroco, France, Austria-Hungary, Great Britain, Germany, Russia, Sweden, Ottoman Empire, Spain, or Italy) with twelve of many resource-laden provinces, centered around a major WWI-era city in Europe. Certain countries have certain large amounts of resources and shortages of others (most blatantly: Sweden has a ridiculous amount of wood but a sparse amount of either food resource). You must slowly (read: all buildings except for one take at least 24 hours to build, and the most advanced buildings and units take as many as 3-4 days) build your empire and conquer your enemies.

Note that this is a REAL-TIME STRATEGY GAME, not turn-based. Troops will take hours to move between locations and/or cities within provinces. Other players will move with or against you whether or not you are watching the game. As stated, buildings take time to build and the time will tick down whether you watch the clock or not.

It is a game of deep deception - for example, in one of my games I am currently in alliance with half of Europe, and half of those allies are at odds or distrustful of one another. Never trust anyone, even your friends (While A_D isn't as much of a backstabber here as he is in Risk, don't trust him unless he saves your ass while you're on vacation :P). Take advantage of any reasonable opportunity you are given.

Once you start playing, I'll answer more specific questions :D
