Just wondering...
Can we still do the old loading infantry onto bombers trick?

Cause that was uber in V3.0

(For those who don't know what I mean this is an example of what we used to do)

Quote:

25 Infantry LOAD onto 5 Bombers.

5 Bombers move from Sector 1->Sector 2

25 Infantry DROP into sector
AND ATTACK
5 Bombers ATTACK sector.
Damage: 55

I was considering making it a tech upgrade or perhaps we can send the infantry to Paratrooper Training.

perhaps we could use dice rolling

http://homes.esat.kuleuven.be/~dvandrom/roll.html

Just input the number of men/military untis in the nr of sides, and input either 1 or 2 rolls. that makes it more fair, making wars harder to win unless u really outnumber your oponent. That works well. Me and swarsplanedude9 are using that in our battle system at our site(in progress!). The sum that you roll is how much damage is inflicted. however, that only works for invantry. for other units, add up the attack and THEN put the total attack in the number of sides.

@Ryan: That would be cool, I'd like to be able to build a real Airborne Corps. It's a shame we don't have an area like holland with a load of rivers I could reenact Operation Market Garden.

@Justin: Problem is that it is too easy for someone to cheat and say "I got a sum of 12!" when they had a sum of 2. or they could reroll until it goes in their favour.

The admins would control that. So there would be no cheating. Or the IPWEA could control it.

Well there's the problem...

If we could write a program that does all of this for us it would be fine, but alas... we're not there yet.

(although we are working on it)
