That was immensely reassuring to Erol but the last part he gave a loud "HRMPHF!!!" at.

"What sort of man will you take me for?" Holding his nose skyward. "I'll have you know that as incredibly bold as I am, I won't be afraid to call for help. I won't scream mind you but I will do as a man does and yell for assistance when in dire straits." He squared his shoulders and marched away.

Moments later he arrived where the others have gathered, himself making last minute checks of his gear as slowed to a stop. "Ready when everyone else is," he chirped.

The Axis Zanzibar moved into central Side 5 space and into the coordinates, Sharan opening comms, "Captain Tirpitz, Commander Anderson, please, come aboard we have much to discuss." he glanced to Ennis and motioned for the man to follow him off of the ships bridge,

"As soon as they have landed they'll be guided to the conference room, we can afford to go ahead, I trust I can trust you to make no attempt to sabotage this - we honestly could afford not to be fighting the AEUG right now." He lead Ennis into the conference room he'd met him and Orrick in, a group of Axis staff were setting up a camera.

"Roger Danse Macabre , landing through port side hatch." Karl said as he maneuvered the small launch into the hangar bay of the Cruiser. Upon opening the hatch, Karl found three friendly but dutiful looking soldiers motioning for him and Jim to follow.

A few minutes later the group arrived at the conference room, Karl quietly approached the large table and sat at the traditional head of the table, taking a brash approach to the idea of talking civilly with a Titan, even if it is James.

He admired the still lavish decor that filled the room, the elegantly carved wood trim and the gold overlay that accompanied it, even the table was made of some fine wood that Karl couldn't identify readily.

The idea of sitting down on a target Zeke cruiser made Jim more than a little uncomfortable, and more than once on the flight over he'd checked to make sure his sidearm was still strapped to his hip. As they landed, Jim followed Karl to the conference room, and was disgusted by the display of opulence the Zekes built into their ships. Someone mind telling me why they built a man-o-war like a palace? he wondered as he popped a squat in one of the random chairs decidedly not at the head of the table, pondering what the chuffing hell Karl was up to again.

"I'll play nice if you will," Ennis said to Sharan before the door hissed open to allow the pair entrance into the conference room. Ennis figured they must have looked quite the pair, a Titan and an Axis Zeke walking in side by side. What a messed up situation.

"Well aren't we just a big old happy family!"he said in greeting, nodding to Karl and Jim before moving to sit on the table itself. They were all old enemies/friends/rivals/conspirators/whatever, after all, and protocol was slipping down Ennis' priority list anyway. "Except for the fact that some of your rebellious children happen to be making a mess. Which brings us all here, of course."

(Oh the possibilities XD)

Karl nodded politely when Sharan and Ennis walked in, "Yeah, some kids just don't know how to mind their elders." Karl said with a grin and a chuckle, he quickly replaced the look with a far more serious one, "So, Musharif there thinks we can pull off a joint operation against that shit stain. Im of the mind that it could be done but we both know that some among our units won't be so open minded," Karl turned and eye'd Jim pointedly for a moment as he said this, "We'd need to make sure we kept any unagreeable elements out of the situation, otherwise we might as well go in unarmed."

"I can't get rid of the potential troublemakers so easily," Ennis said, scratching his chin.

"But . . . I should be able to pacify them. My fleet's under a communications blackout at the moment, I made it that way once we were ordered out here. Om and his his ilk can't get in touch with me to . . . advise me. What a pity," the Captain deadpanned. "If I fake up some orders real quick, I can make it seem like this little truce is fully authorized from the top, and nobody will be the wiser."

"Here's the fun part, though. We can't completely segregate our forces. Either one of us would be too spread out between the different hot spots, and I'm guessing that in order to truly balance our teams we're going to need to trade personnel. At the very least, we're going to have to do one big briefing. I'm sure everyone will enjoy that."

"Alright, that covers your end, I've been given orders to expedite the rescue of the civilians and I'd say that avoiding a massively bloody battle with your unit by any means necessary rings to that particular tune, command can bitch all they want about me working with one of their top ten targets later." Karl paused and decided to omit the fact that he and his team had been sent to execute Montagory and not bring him in, "As for integration of our units for this op, I can see the merit. For the sake of abating some of the paranoia many will feel towards such an arrangement we should conduct our briefing and planning on the ground, doing it on any of the ships might send the wrong message."

"We'd never agree which ship to have it on, anyways," Ennis admitted. "Not without backstabbing becoming a far too tempting prospect. The colonial forces have already agreed to Titan intervention, and I'd be kidding myself If I didn't think they'd be glad to see legitimate AEUG forces. We should have no problems with our staging area, at least."

Ennis stood up from the table, turning to place both hands on it.

"Now, I don't know about you, but I'm not authorizing mobile suits for this op. I'm going to keep two of my teams on stand-by in case hostile suits really do show up, but I don't want beam fire to be tearing up the colony. I'm hoping you feel the same way."

"James my friend, I was raised on the colonies, nothing would horrify me more than to see military units intervening in this situation with mobile suits. I've already told my unit that MS won't be allowed." Karl stood and walked over to Ennis, "I'd say we have ourselves an agreement Capt. Ennis, I'll issue orders to my fleet for them to move into Riah 3's main dock, we'll meet at the Colony forces main command center." Karl raised his massive arm up to shake Ennis's hand.

Ennis accepted Karl's hand and shook it with a firm grip as he looked up at Karl, the slightest of grins on his face.

"This war just keeps getting weirder, doesn't it?" he commented. I'll see you boys there and we'll hash out how to kill these bastards."

With that done, Ennis nodded to Jim and made to leave.

He still wanted Karl dead, sure. But maybe what he wanted wouldn't prove to be neccessary. There were certainly possibilities here.
