Shin was glad at the chance to put his infantry training to use atleast once while not as well trained as a standard infantryman he would be able to hold his own atleast. When Ennis was saying they had SMGs and rifles he wondered if there were any carbines instead so when Ennis was done talking he decided to ask. "Sir when you say rifles do you mean full size rifles or are carbines available as well? I'm only wondering since we will probably be within close range of the rebels and a carbine would be easier to manuver in a CQB situation. Also how much extra ammunition may we carry?" |

Ennis gave Kerin a look that spoke volumes, but it could be summed up with a simple 'surely you jest'. Oh, Ennis didn't doubt Kerin's skills. But did Kerin really think Ennis would give him anything resembling free reign inside a colony? "Why, so you can add another colony to your kill markers?" Ennis quipped after a moment or two of silence. "Thanks, but no thanks. Oh, and everyone? I'm adapting my rule from the Battle of Pezun for this. Anybody who toasts civilians is going to cool their heels at Texas. Among the AEUG prisoners. Anyone who I think does so deliberately ends up like Pohl. Ask around if you don't know what that means." "And yes, Shin, we do have some carbines. As for ammo, if you can carry it, you can bring it. Last thing we want is to run out of bullets in the middle of a shootout with these assholes." |

The grey form of Sharan's Zanzibar II returned to the Titans formation with little wait for approval, his Musai's sliding back into place alongside the Titans fleet as the Danse Macabre opened up communications with the Titans flagship, "Retiro this is Captain Musharif, would you please contact Captain Ennis and inform him that his presence is required immediatley, tell him to bring an escort if he wants, but inform him that this cannot wait." Sharan sighed and tapped his foot on the ground, the time travelling back had been far over schedule. |

"Alright. What if the rebels have APCs or tanks?" Shin decided to bring a ACOG for his carbine, ten extra mags, two flash grenades, two smoke grenades, his sidearm, and four extra mags for it. He decided to grab some bandages as well just incase someone got hit. |

Kerin heard Shin bickering about equipment. Time to worry about that later. For now, I need to get this cleared he thought, standing. "Why, sir, it sounds as if you're implying that I will be deliberately causing civilian casualties. And I have no idea what you mean by another colony to my kill counter. The Titans don't attack anyone but terrorists. But it seems to be an inefficient use of the resources you have at hand, since beyond yourself and the CO of the Marine detachment aboard, you have no other officers qualified to lead in close-quarters battle. True, I was only a VBSS team leader, not a Marine, but that still puts me as the third most experienced, and I find it troubling that you would refuse me the opportunity to preserve the lives of our men; especially since we need to hit all five sites at once" Kerin retorted to Ennis, hoping that his case would persuade Ennis to let him take a team out there. Kerin had also laced his statement with a not-too-subtle warning that talking about Thirty Bunch would be a poor decision. |

Colonial forces have reported no armor support for the hostage takers, and are in a position to handle most of such support even if it does appear," Ennis said, before shrugging. "To be perfectly honest, they could probably deal with this themselves, but I've got a feeling it's a political issue. These are likely rogues, even by AEUG standards, but the possibility that they're not probably has the colonials reluctant to hop in the middle of our shooting war. So in we go to do the dirty work and hopefully our diplomatic situation doesn't go any further in the pot." Ennis smiled wryly at Kerin, managing to look pleasantly surprised without actually being so. "Sure, sure, whatever you say. Probably would take a lot of paint, anyways," he said nonchalantly about 30 Bunch. Ennis had the feeling he would be nearing the point of no return inside two months anyways. No point in being too subtle. "And Kerin, I didn't know how much you cared about the lives of others! Fantastic. I-" Ennis was cut off when a lieutenant from the bridge rushed in and began whispering in his ear, Ennis' expression going from mocking to confused and angry. "What do you mean?" More whispering. "Fine!" Ennis faced the assemly again, not bothering to hide his displeasure. "Talk with the marines. Get your weapons picked out. Our Axis friends apparently need someone to hold their hands. Tactical briefing when I get back." Ennis practically barged out of the armory, and it was only a few minutes later that he was back on Sharan's ship, making it quite clear to the poor ensign who greeted him that Sharan had better be quick about this. |

Kerin ignored the quips coming from Ennis and raised an eyebrow in suspicion as the captain was called away on 'urgent business'. Now what could that be? he wondered as he headed for the armory to load up. Kerin was somewhat appalled at the garden-variety selection, but then again, the Al Qasr had carried Intervention units and had been outfitted with a bit more variety in its weapons. The first thing he did was slip into a kevlar plate carrier that was fully loaded with ballistic plates and laden with mag and dump pouches, then slipped the deadliest weapon known to man into the back pouch - a radio - equipped with a throat mike for speed. He selected an HK 416 assault rifle, the top-end rebuild of the classic CAR-15 design, equipped with a holosight. He pocketed quite a few spare magazines for that and his Glocks, then reached for grenades. While it was tempting to ignore Ennis's order and stick an M320 on the underside of his carbine, he had a hunch that he'd be forced to leave it behind, and simply let it be as he pocketed a half-dozen flash grenades and a pair of smokes. He wished for breaching charges, but that was one more of the things this armory was lacking. To be fair, the Retiro wasn't configured for... 'suppression' the way the Al Qasr had been, so he simply lamented the loss to himself. Instead, he availed himself of a KAC Masterkey shotgun. They didn't have the more modern M26 underbarrels, but having that extra barrel under his rifle would still be useful, and nothing really did beat a shotgun in close range. He pocketed shells for it, and then cleared out of the armory and headed for the hangar deck, awaiting the return of Ennis and their mobilization orders. |

Jurik reassembled his sidearm after cleaning and oiling it. He loaded a magazine into the pistol before glancing around at the disgruntled unit surrounding him. Ennis is a fool, he has no idea how this should be handled, he thought to himself before his attention again went back to armament. He loaded two spare magazines for his pistol and picked up a submachine gun. He grabbed a roll of normal suit tape and secured two smg magazines together. |

Sharan grinned as Ennis was shown onto his bridge, "Ahh Captain," he turned to face the man, before glancing to his helmsman "Set course for the rendeveous coordinates, full speed ahead." he crossed his arms across his chest with a smile, "Captain, I have taken the liberty of making arrangements to make the task of liberating Side 5 easier - I've made contact with Captain Tirpitz, he's willing to form an alliance with us - it seems our friends on Side 5 lack the support of the rest of the AEUG." |

"Well, that confirms some of our intel reports at least. Good to know the AEUG as a whole hasn't gone completely off its rocker," Ennis muttered. "Still, that could make them more dangerous. We certainly know their leader is . . . well, let's just say I won't mourn his gruesome demise if it were to come about." Ennis paused, staring out the viewports of the bridge and not quite managing to stop himself from imagining a mobile suit wearing his own colors popping up to drop a beam through them. Still, his mind was racing with the implications of allying with the AEUG even for a short time. The com blackout he'd put over the Retiro force for completely different reasons would come in handy. But the immediate concerns aside, the long-term consequences . . . well, Ennis had the feeling that his time was pretty much up. Perhaps this was his last good oppurtunity. "And if the AEUG are really willing to help? Well, I suppose we'll just have to see where things go." |

Frank glares down at his pistol after Ennis leaves, as he had wanted to leave the weapon and use the space for some more magzines but was being forced to bring it along. He then put on a ballistic plate carrier with front and back ballistic plates inserted before putting on a helmet. He then puts some goggles onto his helmet and starts to put magazine pouches onto the vest, ending with a total of twelve double mag pouches by using the sides and upper section of the front of the vest, he then put a mag dump pouch onto the lower back, he then placed a radio in the radio pouch on his back and hooked up a throat mic to it before putting a rig on his left thigh that had room for four rifle magazines, two in each pouch, a section for a knife, and two pistol magazine pouches. He then puts the sixteen rifle magazines into the pouchs along with putting his knife and two extra pistol magazines into their respective pouches before he pulls his Kimber 1911 out of the holster and makes sure it has a magazine in it with one round in the chamber before placing it back into the holster. Frank then picks up an M16A4 rifle mounted with an TA31RCO ACOG, which has 4x magnification along with flip-up BUIS (Backup iron sights), along with an underbarrel Masterkey system, he then loads the rifle and shotgun before putting a pouch onto his vest for the shotgun shells and filling it up. He then places two pouches each onto his vest for smoke and flash grenades and then puts the grenades into the pouches as a final think he fills up a hydration bladder and places it onto his back so that he has a drink if needed, he then looks at his equipment before walking out and starting to go to the hanger. 'Been a while since I wore all this, feels good to have it on again.' He thinks to himself before arriving at the hanger and seeing Kerin so Frank walks over to him. "Lt. Jaggers, wanted to let you know that your probably the fourth most experienced person when it comes to the infantry. I was in the infantry before becoming a pilot so I'd say I probably have more experience then the rest of you. But it's good to know you were at least in some form of the infantry, ordinary pilots have it too easy for how much they complain." Frank says to Kerin |

Slumped in his seat and a touch bitter, Erol chewed at his lip concerning the mission. He left his complaint as to why they could not just allow the marines to do this by their lonesome go unvoiced. Well, why couldn't they anyway? Telling himself. This talk of close-quarters-combat was making him cringe and his spine shivered the moment when Shin brought to question the likelihood of heavy vehicles they would confront. Ennis's rejection of such a possibility didn't ease him enough thought. Yet trying to read the subtext of Ennis' and Kerin's words to one another helped to slightly to distract his anxiety. "Maybe I can stay in the back. Offer support or something," muttering strategy to himself once Ennis left the room, leaving Erol to lethargically follow the others to the armory. He rubbed his temples with one hand and half-watched the others as they loaded themselves out. Erol himself obtained a second sidearm, having more training experience than any of the other weapons and never really have seen the need to expand his weapons repertoire, always believing he would be just a pilot. Halfheartedly, Erol began donning his armour, installing plates almost mechanically whilst thinking of what he would need and failing not to be intimidated by the equipment the others were choosing. "How many of these guys were in the infantry?" He voiced to himself about the other pilots. He reminded himself of the basics he would need; water, rations, knife and ductape then proceeded to obtain in between the attachments he made to his helmet such as adding plates, goggles and the radio/communications to it before dropping it on his head. He sighed with puckered lips as he began loading himself with a dozen magazines for his pistols and a half-dozen grenades of equal smoke and flash-bang. "Do we have any trained medics?" Voicing aloud as he began reaching for medical supplies. |

Shin didn't really like the thought of relying on the colonists for possible enemy armor but decided he would just deal with it later if they even had armor. When Ennis left Shin went and picked up his M4 carbine with a ACOG and a ballistic vest. After getting the vest he put the plates into it and began to attach pouches to it. He put on five double mag pouches, two double mag pouches for his pistol's extra mags, a pouch for bandages, a hydration bladder, two pouches for his grenades(keeping them seperate), a helmet, and got his bayonet. After getting all his gear he checked over everything to make sure it was in good condition and then put his vest on and loaded the pouches. After that he cleaned his pistol and carbine and after he loaded the pistol he put it in his holster. After that he put on his helmet and grabbed his carbine and loaded a mag into it but didn't chamber a round. (Hopefully 330 rifle rounds will be enough. 840 seems like a bit much IMO. <_<) |

[If you've fired off all 330 rounds, GM, then you've officially had a bad day and can take the rest of it off. :P ) One of the Marines, a corporal, nodded in answer to Erol's question. "Yes sir. Hell, we should even have enough of them for all five sites, if it comes to a simultaneous strike. Even if we don't, we've at least got enough medical gear to go around," the soldier said, checking his own weapon for flaws. "Just cover your buddies and don't be afraid to scream for help, and you'll be alright." |
