"Just stay there, I'll head down in a few and we can head over to report in with S-12's head honcho, out." As Karl spoke he finalized his data file, encrypting it with the AEUG's toughest key, he then began compressing it down to a reasonable size for transmitting and layered the compressed file in another encryption shell to prevent the file from even being decompressed without great difficulty on any would be thief's part. After finishing his work he transferred the file to a extra large capacity thumb drive and headed down to the hangar, arriving he found Jim waiting for him, "Ready to head out or do you need me to carry you?" Karl asked with his usual chuckle. |

Used to the usual back and forth between a society comprised exclusively of alpha males, Jim only grinned back at Karl. "How about I shoot you in the leg and we see if you can overpower a Titan while shackled and still bleeding? And yeah, I'm good. let's talk to Command" Jim responded. |

"Alright, let's go grab our friend Orrick and see how he fares?" Karl started off with Jim down the ramp, off to the left of the ship Karl spied a huge land battleship, "Hey Jim, is it me or does that look like one of those old ass Big Tray ships?" He asked as he slid into the drivers seat of a nearby Jeep. |

Jim settled down in the jeep, sliding into the passenger seat, keeping a straight face as his leg complained a little. I've had worse pain than what's left in Krav Maga he mused as Karl drew his attention to the old ship. "I do believe that is one of our old land battleships. I figured those were all retired by now. Weapons and defensive systems were getting pretty outdated by the end of the War. Now... I've known shower curtains that offer better protection than the systems on that thing. Hopefully, Karaba just plans to use it as a carrier, like the naval carriers of old. Things are just ancient" he responded, wondering what rat hole Karaba had dragged that relic out of. I pity the poor Karaba sods who are gonna be riding into battle on that antique he mused, knowing that he'd rather fly his first-run GM into battle than call that thing his airbase. |

"I dunno, a mobile gun platform like that can always have its uses, though it's gotta be slow as hell. Anyway, away we go." Karl started the Jeep and mashed the accelerator, sending them careening across the hangar bay. With the deft control of a seasoned pilot, Karl guided the Jeep along the marked route, nearly plowing into an ammunition truck along the way, until he brought the vehicle to a screeching halt in front of the Administration building, "I think that asshole, two turns back, cut me off." Karl said with a wry grin on his face and pointing backwards with his left thumb. |

Jim was reasonably certain that Karl should have his license to drive for lack of ability to observe the rules of the road, but didn't say anything. "I won't comment on that one Karl. Any idea what the brass have in store for our merry band of line animals?" Jim asked, hoping that they'd be headed back to space soon, since it was where he excelled. |

"Nope, they've been keeping me in the dark, most likely because of the Chairman's planned speech coming up, they don't want sensitive information just floating around, I'd suspect." Karl hopped out and the two men made their way to the main control room, passing through several security points along the way. Inside the control room they found the base Commander, Captain Armstrong, leaning over large map table that was lit from underneath. Karl strode forward slowly, saluting the Cpt. as he stepped up to the table, "Lt. Cmdr. Karl Tipritz and my X.O. Lt. Jim Anderson, sir," Karl reached into his pocket and pulled out the flash drive that contained his report, "I'd like this to be transmitted to Luna immediately, AEUG Command is expecting my report. I've also been told that you have a new tasking for my unit." The Cpt. nodded, "Yes, the 7th Lunar's Mobile Suit squadron will be moving back into space, there will be a floating launch platform with several H.L.V. type shuttles waiting for you in Boston harbor. I'm afraid though, that the Azuza and her crew will not be accompanying you, the ship has been reassigned to assisting Karaba units stationed in South America. In regards to your tasking I'm told you will be embarking on a series of attacks against high value Titans docks." |

Jim smiled at the tasking. "The old beat on their supply lines strategy. Sounds good to me. Question, though - if the Azusa is heading out, how are we getting to Boston, because legging it from here to there does not sound enjoyable" Jim asked, hands clasped behind his back. |

“Are you gonna help us any, or what?” the bastard Karaba officer inquired of Banska. The AEUG pilot took a sip out of his coffee cup and looked upwards thoughtfully. After a moment of silence, Banska replied. “Nope.” |

"The Big Tray you most likely spotted in the hangar will be you're new mode of transport. Though not traditionally suited to mobile suit combat, I'm sure two officers with records like yours will be more than capable of making due. I regret we are unable to give you anything more but, unfortunately, the war effort on the ground has Karaba spread pretty thin." Karl nodded slowly, "Alright Capt., I thank you for your organizations support down here on Earth, the 7th will try make our stay here as short as possible." The Capt. returned Karl nod with one of his own, though much shorter and very curt, "I appreciate that Lt. Cmdr., though I would like to have a soldier of yours and Lt. Anderson's caliber, I can't deny that you seem to run into trouble a little too much for my taste." The Capt.'s comment came with a good hearted laugh, "Anyway, I've already ordered my men to begin loading your units onto the deck of the land battleship, it's already stocked completely ammunition and food stores." |

After Eddy helped the Karaba personnel load two more Nemos onto flatbed transport trucks, he decided to head back down to the mess hall and get a drink. Climbing up one of the service ladders, he made a short leap back onto the platform and walked back in the corridor. Several minutes later, after a ladder climb up three decks, he reached mess hall level and entered the cafeteria. Walking to the soda machine, he noticed that a new brand of Mountain Dew was added to the selections. Deciding to take a crack at it, Eddy pressed the button and a new can popped out. Grabbing it, he saw it was Mountain Dew Game Fuel, the wild fruit blue kind. Popping the can open, Eddy took a sip and enjoyed the taste. "Finest kind." |

Orrick kept huddled on his bed. [/i]The rides stopped. Must be one of their bases. I'm willing to bet they are gonna try and dump me off here. Frankly I don't have any intentions of becoming a frozen prisoner popsicle. ____________________________________________________________________ (In the meantime) Samantha hung up the phone after Karl having to attend to another phone call. She decided to head towards the hangar knowing that she probably wouldn't make it there in the ten minutes that Karl had given her to get there. As she arrived she saw everyone working hard on their machines, and moving things around quickly. Edited by Orrick Alexander, Aug 11 2009, 10:36 PM.
