Well, that answers my question on what they would take of Sean and the Zeon mercs working for us, Erol thought to himself. Briefly he took a half-glance at Kerin to see his reaction upon discovering Sean's true identity within the unit. So difficult not to crack a smile. Behind his back, Erol fiddled with his watch to time just how long it would take for the next quarrel to more than likely break out would either turn into fisticuffs or someone drawing a weapon. "Wow," Erol muttered just loudly enough for only Sean and Peripe to catch it. "Our in-fighting on just this ship is like a microcosm of the Zeons... or a military based reality TV show." In a sudden moment of inspiration his eyes suddenly brightened. "I should write a tell all memoir!" He quietly told himself. "I think I'll title it With Friends Like These." “Perhaps I had you pegged wrong, commander, assuming that the rebel is capable of guilt, of course. What would happen if you were killed, though? Wouldn’t he be on the loose?” Jurik inquired. |

Sean started to laugh at Erol's comments. "I think a more proper title would be "Everybody hates Sean, since I'm apparently the most popular person on here. Sean jested before noticing Kerin still had that 'I'd murder you three times in a row if it were possible' look on his face. "So what do you think of the new guy? he said out loud. The distence between the group and Jurik would ensure that he wouldn't hear Sean. Seems to have a bug of up his ass. Kerin, what do you think?" He looked at Kerin while asking him, attempting to get him involved in the group instead of having him observe them like lab rats. |

While Lieutenant Jurik and this Commander Ennis were apparently having a heart to heart Kathy grew tired of just waiting around. "Alright, I know that the both of us here have never been on a Garuda before which one of you pilots are going to show us around. In the meantime I want that prisoner brought back to holding, where he belongs while not in the cockpit of a mobile suit." Summer stood casually behind Kathy, as she asked for the two of them to be shown around the ship. "It's so boring just standing around here. I feel like I'm on stage, being looked at by everyone right now." |

Sean's ears caught that the other new lieutenant was now picking on him too. "Yep, I'm real popular around here" he thought to himself. Sean didn't want to be rude and ignore Kerin after asking him a question, but Sean did have to correct Kathy. I'm sorry ma'am, but I have explicit permission to move about where I want, with obvious exceptions such as the brig etc., when not piloting my special bomb equipped HiZack. Unless you can get Ennis to change his mind, my assault rifle totting posse behind me will only take me away if I'm acting hostile towards you or if it's my bedtime, and it's clearly the afternoon. Sean's stomach made a loud gurgle sound. Speaking of which, it's lunchtime, anyone care to join me? He looked around the group to see who would be interested. |

"Show me the paperwork!" Kathy exclaimed. If this prisoner was going to rude with her for having sound knowledge she would be more than willing to put her foot down, with standard regulation backing her up. "You're a prisoner, it baffles me to think we'd let AEUG terrorists fight for us for any reason. I don't really give a damn on how hard it may be for you either. You made your choices and you should live with the consequences. A prisoner is a prisoner, just as a bird is a bird. The only exception is that you aren't free to go." Kathy now visibly angered by the prisoner once again sternly issues orders again to the MP's. "Until I see the paperwork, no matter if the commander vouches for this man right here on the spot I want him taken to where he belongs, his cage." She looked back at Sean. She smiled, "Now, O'Brien was it? I hope that this doesn't put a damper on our relationship, after all I'm only doing my job, which is to follow the rules." She raised her hand as she backed away from the MP's signaling them to once again. Not watching the MP's anymore she turned back to the remaining pilots and asked again. "I asked nicely before, and I don't intend to ask again. Who will be giving the two of us a tour of the ship?" |

As soon as Kathy asked for paperwork, Sean reached into his back pocket and pulled out a folded piece of paper. He unfolded it and handed it to her. It was official Titan stationary, with the words "Can't touch this." written in big bold letters. As soon as he handed it off, Sean ripped off his pants revealing balloon pants underneath. Stop. Hammer time! exclaimed Sean as he started to dance about with a boombox playing in the background. The music gave the MPs and mechanics a violent urge to join in, and soon the entire hangar was engulfed in song and dance. I wish :lmao: ------------ Sean started to internally roll his eyes at Kathy. She'll get use to everything in a day or so. She's the least of my worries. He waited for her to finish speaking to his escorts, and she turned back to him with a fake smile. Sean returned to favor and in a polite voice said "Oh no, it won't, but I'm still heading to the mess hall. It'll probably be meatloaf, but anything tastes good on an empty stomach. You should seriously speak to Ennis if you have concerns. This is my third time being a prisoner of his, so he more or less knows how I'll behave." He turned to the MPs and the three of them started to walk to the mess hall. |

Having the new trio of pilots react so . . . strongly to his unit once again drove home to Ennis just how unorthodox a direction he'd taken with the unit. Throughout the conversation he found himself wondering if James Ennis and the Helios Squadron would become part of the Academy's 'Flexibilty in the Field' course. However, he'd noticed out of the corner of his eye his pilots talking amongst themselves. To be honest, it improved his mood quite a bit to see that even with all the fault lines in the squadron, they were at least enough of a unit to unify when put up against outsiders. "Well, Mr. Tadao, in the case of mobile suit combat, there is a deadman's switch installed in my own machine," he replied to the Lt. Commander as he gestured across the hangar to his own Gaplant. "If I'm destroyed, O'Regan's machine will detonate in turn. So he's got a strong interest in keeping my alive if for no other reason than to do the same for himself." Ennis smiled amiably enough, even when putting the added emphasis on Sean's name. Tadao was a little too close to the Om strain of Titan for Ennis' tastes, but at the very least he seemed rational enough and willing to actually discuss things. Ennis supposed that could just be judging the book by the cover, but he was trying to be more optimistic this time. Ms. Gabriel on the other hand . . . "And, as you can see, out of a suit he's monitored by multiple people at all times. If some accident were to befall me, he'd get recycled back up to Texas Base which . . . he really doesn't want. Now, I'm sorry Lt. Commander, but if you could just give me one moment?" Ennis held up one finger, as if promising to get right back to Jurik, before turning towards Kathy and taking a few steps in her direction. He dug one finger into his ear, as if he was having trouble hearing. "I'm sorry, did I hear someone trying to boss around myself and my crew?" he asked, sounding confused. "I apologize, but I'm getting old, and the senses are starting to go. And, darn, I forgot my glasses, so I can't see your rank tabs all that well. Let me see here." Ennis took a few more steps and leaned in, squinting hard in the direction of Kathy's collar for several moments before leaning back, eyes wide and a smile on his face. "Ah, a Lieutenant! Very good! Backbone of the fleet's made up of good lieutenants, I always say. But that raises another question. I haven't looked at my unit organization charts lately, old fool that I am, but I could've sworn that in order to tell me how to run my unit a person needed to at least be a Captain. Odd. Hmmmmm." Ennis scratched his chin, staring up at the hangar ceiling for a moment in apparent thought before looking back down at Kathy. The joking facade was gone, replaced with the usual glare that the regular Helios crew would probably recognize all too well. "You are certainly not a Captain, you are certainly not in charge, and you certainly do not have the authority to try to order anyone around after five minutes on the ship," he told her, practically frantic at the last one. "You're not even in the roster yet. And what you want does not mean rat's spit compared to my orders. Half the reason the unit is running at such low strength is I keep getting Ensigns and Lieutenants who think they know better than everyone else. Most of them have gotten themselves killed and one turned traitor. Turned more traitor than the prisoner or the merc, I should point out, so think on that. Now, this is an Autonomous unit. We're effectively on our own out here, so we have and I have chosen to do things differently. You want to make recommendations, fine. Great. That's what you're supposed to do. That is your job. Oh, and since you don't intend to ask again? You can wait right here until I assign someone to give you your own tour." Ennis took a step back, sighing and rubbing his forehead. For a moment he looked older than his years. "Mr. Tadao, Ms. Hearst, I apologize for having to include a dressing down demonstration as part of your welcome. But this has been a consistent problem, part of the reason I've had to ask you to be here in the first place, and I'd prefer to set things straight as soon as possible. If you'd like, I can give you both a personal tour of our ship and allow you to get a better understanding of how the unit functions. |

Finally getting his anger under control, Kerin settled his face into a mask of neutrality. Ah. Thank you for digging your own grave and stepping in, Mr Ennis. Makes it far easier to bury traitors when they do this much of their work. And don't worry, you won't be lonely. Mr O'Regan shall join you shortly after his summary execution Kerin thought happily. Terminating traitors to the Earth gave him a sense of satisfaction nothing else could match. It was almost enough to dull the ache left in his heart at the loss of his entire extended family at the hands of Stardust. Kerin instead rose and excused himself, heading to his room. He made a mental note that all three of the new officers were good and loyal Titans, since they had all challenged the traitor instantly. Kerin resisted the temptation to throw Ennis a wicked grin, and instead nodded curtly at the Commander and headed for his stateroom, fully intent on informing Captain Om that Ennis was in bad need of treason charges. |

“A wonderful idea commander, I feel that the sooner that I am, er, I and my comrades are brought up to speed on matters, the better.” Jurik grinned in an enthused, dramatic fashion, having forgotten what earnest emotion was like. |

Kathy stood there as she took the verbal abuse from the Commander, who looked more and more like a traitor the more that he defended the AEUG prisoner. It was almost laughable to use such a poor excuse as, "operating as an autonomous unit." "Fine. it appears that I have overstepped my boundaries. However, I highly doubt that anything I have to say will be taken into consideration by you outside of the battlefield. So this will be the first thing that I write down in my report about this unit Commander!" Kathy stood there with her arms crossed, visibly upset by the way that such a 'hero' acted. She crossed her arms and tapped her foot impatiently as Ennis took the other two away. As Ennis apologized to both Jurick and Summer about having to raise his voice within moments of their arrival Summer slightly looked back at Kathy and gave a slight wink that neither Ennis or Jurick would notice. "Good girl and bad girl, Kathy really is brilliant. I may just be a pilot, but I too was put here for the benefit of helping this unit. Perhaps this Commander Ennis overlooked the fact that we were in the same unit before coming here." Summer turned back and smiled warmly and replied happily to Ennis. "That would be an honor sir. I'm looking forward to getting to know the layout of this ship quickly." She laughed a bit to herself, "I tend to find myself easily lost on ships I've never been on before." |

"Alright," Ennis said, turning to the assembled group. "I'm sure you can find something to do. Dismissed. Go on, shoo, you bunch of degenerates." Ennis made shooing gestures to the pilots with a tired smirk on his face. He had the bad feeling that somebody was going to follow them and cause trouble. He wondered how the betting pool for the exact person would stack up. "Well, don't worry about it, it's to be expected," Ennis replied toSummer. "The Garuda's quite a bit different from a Sally. Or an Alexandria, for that matter. We'll get you sorted out." Of course, Kathy was grumbling in the background and giving him the stink eye. Perfect. "Oh for God's sake, stop looking at me like I just ate your pet dog alive," Ennis grumbled back. "Look, you can write all the reports you want. Baldy already hates my guts, but as long as the AEUG and Karaba forces keep taking a beating then I'm going to be staying around. And I will listen to you as long as you don't act like a damn Princess. To be honest, it's been a bad month. The last junior officer who tried to tell me what to do, who came with Om's personal stamp, betrayed Alcatraz and then tried to blow me up. So I'm a little testy on the subject." Ennis paused for a moment before shrugging. "Alright, to hell with it, come on. I'll give all three of you the tour. I don't have the heart to leave you standing here for the next four hours, anyways," he said before addressing all three. "Surprise, this is the hangar! The squadron is split up into three teams. Anton, Berta, and Caeser. I lead Anton, Kryger led Berta before the AEUG carried him off, and John Solotov leads Caeser as our reserve force. Mr. Tadao, Ms. Hearst, you'll both likely be placed in Berta. We've got three functioning mobile armors left, two in Anton and one in Berta. The fourth is the red Gaplant, Kryger's, currently down and out. The fifth was an Asshimar, and the traitor took that with him down to hell. The rest, as you can see, is an assortment. We try to keep things diverse so that each pilot is comfortable with their machine, and it keeps the AEUG on their toes. We even had a Dom Funf, but that bought the farm when Lt. Giest wrecked it taking out a Rick Dias. Our head mechanic is Chief Rodgerson over there. He prefers Chief or just Garrick. Any questions?" |

Franke slipped in behind Ennis as he led the new arrivals on a tour and gave him the most false pout she could manage, "No fair. You wrecked it first, it wasn't me who decided to repaint it all blue - messed up all my tallies, and my artwork." she smirked at the other three Titans, no zeon jump suit, but a thick accent and a flight jacket with plenty of markings as to her alliegance, "Besides, WE, need to chat about you replacing my suit, I reckon Garrick owes me for not building it well enough...so I'm thinking something...spangly-like." she grinned and reached out her bionic arm, "Arm wrestle you for your Gaplant." |

Peripe raised his hand in a kind of half hearted wave when his name was called. He kept a careful eye on the new guys, one if them with a Lt.'s insignia. The expression of mistrust and disdain on the man's face was clear, something Peripe understood firsthand. He waited for the new arrivals to begin breaking away after Ennis dismissed them. He hung behind a bit, not wanting to make his presence immediately known. "Judging my your expression you're not the biggest fan of Zeke's among us." Peripe maintained his characteristic aura of disdain and slouch. "Sometimes I really have to wonder about what the Commander is thinking. 'Course, I'm just a lowly Ensign. Not much I can do about it, 'cept to try to figure out as best I can who I can trust and who I can't." |

“Hmm, spacenoids…” Jurik muttered as the side three colonist cut into the tour. He was then caught off guard by ensign Teia’s voice, clumsily gurgling out into the air. “Yes, I do have a question. Who is this charming gentlemen behind us? Tell me lad, you wouldn’t happen to be in Berta would you?” the Lieutenant asked Pereipe. |
