Welcome to Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam: The Gryps War. After three and a half years, this site has finally gone inactive, due to waning interest and gradually lower attendance numbers. However, the site will remain up for the forseeable future to showcase the One Year War and The Gryps War archives. Feel free to take a look, or to contact admins and members, many of whom have moved onto other RPG projects.

"Excuse me, Dr. Winslow? Could I have a moment of your time?"

Dr. Rosaline Winslow, mobile suit develper for Anaheim Electronics, turned to look at the person approaching her. It was a short woman with red hair, dressed in casual clothes, her hands in the pockets of her jacket. To be honest, the blonde doctor practically towered over the other woman, but she'd gotten used to being tall a long time ago. Roz wracked her brain to see if she knew the women, but nothing came up.

"I'm sorry, but do I know you?" she asked, turning to face the redhead after locking the door to her car. "I need to get to work."

"No you don't, and I'm very sorry. This will only take a moment. My name is Christina Likos, I'm with the Granada Gazette. I've got a few questions for you, off the record."

Roz dropped the polite attitude and frowned, starting to walk away. She'd had it with reporters trying to dig into her business.

"I am not at liberty to discuss the business of Anaheim Electronics, its customers, or its employees," she said tersely, rattling off the standard company line before adding her own touch. "So kindly take a walk out the airlock and leave me alone."

"I really am sorry to bother you, but walking out an airlock wouldn't help," the reporter said, following after Roz, struggling to keep up with the Doctor's long stride. "Besides, a certain Snowball would end up tracking me to hell, and he'd see me melt before he did."

Roz stopped in her tracks, letting Christina catch up to her. The Snowball nonsense would have seemed silly to anyone else, but to Roz it brought back certain memories. She turned around slowly, staring at the smaller woman.

"Who?" she asked quietly, her voice almost a whisper.

"James," was the answer. Roz's frown returned for a brief moment as a number of emotions bombarded her.

The last time she had seen James Ennis had been at Jaburo. The short little man, then the Snowball Team CO, had been busy showing rookies 'Jaburo hospitality', which in his parlance meant working them half to death. Still, her impression of him had been good. He'd seemed to care about his men, and about Alfred. Al had looked up to him. Ennis had written her several letters after the War ended, telling her about Alfred's final days and sending her some pictures of her brother. Unlike Ryan he had never seemed able to face her. She'd gotten the impresion that he blamed himself a little.

But she had heard he'd joined the Titans, and that made her wonder what Alfred would think of him today. She did her part against the Titans, which is what she believed her brother would have done, but who knew for sure? She idly thought what Ennis would have to say about her having moved to space? Of course, then she realized she'd been staring at Christina for several moments, and she spoke up.

"Not sure I can talk to you anyways. For reasons I'm sure you're aware of," she said, shrugging.

"Like I said, it's off the records," Christina replied, pulling a card out of her pocket and showing it to Rosaline. It was her press pass, but a quick flip of the reporter's fingers revealed a second card beneath it: a ZMF identity card. It was only out for a second before she put it away, but it was unmistakable "Besides, the blackshirts wouldn't exactly be interested in using me as a spy."

"Ask your questions, then, and we'll see if I feel like answering."

"Cautious of you. Good. You recognize this guy?" Christina said, pulling a picture from one pocket and showing it to Roz. The Doctor looked close before she realized it was Bill.

"Yes. I don't know him, but I've seen him before," she answered.

"Good, now, this is his family. Ever see them?". Another picture, this time of Bill with a woman and two children, all of them looking happy. Roz shook her head, though.

"No, I never met his family. I heard they were taken into protective custody, though, in case . . . well, he had some enemies, I'm sure you know. They needed protection.

"Well, now that protection might not be coming from the right people. Any idea where they might have been sent?

"Just rumors. Earth. No idea where," Roz said with a shrug. "I didn't ask around, really. No reason to."

"That'll do. It matches up with what I've already found. Thank you, Dr. Winslow. I'm sure you realize we never talked about this," the reporter said before turning to leave. Roz let her, before she felt she had to say something.

"How do you know he's not using you? Everything's changed so much, maybe he did too. What reason could he have to look for another man's family, with the uniform he wears?" she said, closing her eyes and shaking her head. When she opened them Christina was standing still, her back to Roz, before turning to look over her shoulder at the doctor.

"He said he wants to keep them safe. I chose to believe him. And if he's lying, well, I'll finish what the damned War started."

Christina starting walking away again, and this time Rosaline turned away towards her work and began walking as well. Several minutes later she was closing the door to her office and sitting behind her desk. Before she did anything else, she picked up one of the picture frames on the desk and looked at it. Alfred, he brother, looked at her from the photograph, smiling, surrounded by his friends and teammates. One of them was James, smiling almost as widely as Al. Roz glanced at him for a moment before looking back at her brother, wondering how the two would be feeling about one another if Al had lived, before putting down the photo and getting to her work.
