Zane Zane was a bit...bewildered at Dracid's sudden introduction into the conversation. Choosing his words carefully, Zane replied with "Hi..." Looking behind Dracid, he saw Jim and Karl flaring their egos again. "Seems like Lieutenant Anderson is hellbent on fighting everyone from Zeon." He spoke outloud to pretty much no one, leaving it upon for everyone to respond. Leet Leet's in the shower. |

Jim nodded, disappointed that he was going to miss his sparring session, and especially disappointed that he wouldn't get a chance to show Karl what Krav Maga could do. Oh well, next time he mused as he nodded. "Looks like our timetable's been moved up, gentlemen. 3 hours apiece in the rack to refresh, followed by a final pre-mission review of the assault plan before we hit the general brief. We are a go Jim told to the hardboys. As Boyle and Kemper walked off, Jim glanced at his Dias, then looked over to Karl. "Karl, I think Zane should take my Dias out for this one - we'll need every card in the deck this morning" he got off before Karl left. Jim walked over to Ambrose, briefly talking to his old friend and comrade. Both were ecstatic that in a little under nine hours, their friends would be freed from that hellhole they were locked in. Jim and Ambrose both knew the value of proper rest, and retired to their staterooms to get a few hours of sleep before they went out, a premission ritual that was just as vital as loading a weapon for a combat soldier, especially when all the expected details in the assault plan had been taken care of earlier by Anderson and Boyle. |

Karl waved an agreement over his right shoulder as he walked to the personnel lift, he was tired but still had work to do,. As the lift came to a stop the Dodai that had been set aside for modification sat parked in the middle the deck, calling up to the deck chiefs office he asked for a couple mechanics to be sent down to assist him, he then got to work ripping the 60mm vulcans out of a spare Nemo head, he planned to mount the weapons each a half meter off the center line of the aircraft, just behind and under the cockpit area. |

Feeling slighted by being ignored just like that, Eddy decided to see if the AI programs within the simulator could provide a challenge against his upgraded Nemo. "Eh, you all blow." Walking away from the group, he walked towards the CAA and waited until it reached his cockpit hatch. Opening the hatch, Eddy stepped into the cockpit and powered up the systems slowly. |

As Karl was finishing ripping the first vulcan out of the spare Nemo head the mechanics he'd called for stepped off the lift, waving them over he quickly brought them up to speed on his idea to retro fit the sub-flight unit into a close air support and transport. He tasked one of the two men with building the armored shrouds that would provide cover for the planned deck gun turrets, the other had had help him with the vulcans. Several hours into the refit Karl noticed the ship's engines spooling up by the tell tale rumble and humming, a half hour later the Azuza rolled down the tarmac and lumbered into the air. At that Time Karl and his new friends were cutting small access holes into the underside of the Dodai, slightly aft of the gun positions, so that they could route the ammo belts and fire control wiring into the interior of the plane, where'd they'd already removed two of the smaller fuel bladders to make room for the ammo drums. They then fabricated some sturdy brackets and mounted the guns, after wiring them to the trigger system already in the cockpit they moved the plane up to the upper deck and test fired the weapons out the back door in order to sight them in, once done they fitted the machine guns to their turrets on the upper deck of the Dodai. Finally finished with the project Karl told the mechanics to go get some sleep for the coming battle, seeing that he'd only get a few hours himself, Karl quickly followed them and quite literally crashed onto his bunk when he got to his quarters. |

Eddy used the sim program inside his upgraded Nemo for the better part of two hours, getting better acquainted with the firepower his mobile suit now possessed. The targeting sensors were improved, with an improved head design applied. Sometimes he sniped off all the enemies...sometimes he got his own ass blown away. Regardless, it helped him to get to know the suit better. After those two hours, he decided he'd gotten enough time down with the Nemo Cannon, and after shutting down the cockpit, Eddy opened the hatch and got onto the CAA, taking him back to the observation deck. Pulling out his cell, he texted to Michiko to meet him in the mess hall. Walking for a few minutes down a few corridors, Eddy managed to find his way back to where he pretty much started. Sitting down, he began waiting for Michiko to either show up or text back. |

O'Regan's Erica held Jessica while Shane sat on the floor. He couldn't find his models that he brought with him, and tried to remember where he left them. The man in charge of taking them across country sat next to her pondering what Karl let slip. 'So hes not with AEUG anymore? Then why are we left holding the baggage? He better not be with the Titans now, he's not that big of an idiot is he?" the man thought. They were waiting for their planes to get ready to take off after the Azura. They had two personal propeller that were kindly donated to them by a local man of wealth. With the Federation base nearby, it was a better idea to go in pairs in case one plane is captured. With Shane being the older of the two children, it was decided that he'd go separate from his mother, since Jessica was younger and would miss her mom more. The two groups split up, with Erica and Jessica getting into their plane a little early. The sun was starting to give Jessica a sun burn and she wanted to get off of Hawaii as soon as possible because of it. Shane was left in the hands of another guard, who really didn't want to baby sit him. Instead of watching him like he was suppose to, he left him in the hands of one of the men fueling the plane so he could get a quick drink. At this moment, Shane remembered where he left his models; on the big plane. wandering off while his new chaperon was busy working, Shane slipped into the Garuda while everyone was busy getting ready for take off. His small size allowed him to get through the hangar relatively unnoticed as he searched for the models. The Azura took off with him inside, and he held on for dear life on a workbench that had it's legs bolted to the floor. After the Azura took off, Erica's plane did likewise, all the while wishing Shane's plane safe passage. The man who was suppose to take Shane on the second plane came back, and asked where the kid was. The mechanic turned around to where he last saw him, shrugged, and explained that he probably got on the first plane with his mother. The man took that as a sign of relief, and started to head back inside to drink more. He'll get in contact with the Captain first and thank him for taking the kid with him. Zane Zane watched Jim and Ambrose. They said something about getting some sleep before the operation, and presumably went to bed together. Karl did likewise and headed to his quarters after the carrier took off. "Well, looks like that's a sign to get either some rest. You guys do the same unless you want to call asleep in your cockpits." Zane said while walking to his room. Zane actually just woke up before his escapades of the last few hours, but laying down wouldn't kill him. Leet After getting out of the shower, Leet went about his duties as normal. *TIMESKIP!!!!!!!!!!!!! Brace yo self bitch!!!!!!!!!* 3:00 am, 600 miles off the coast of California...... The Azuza was flying low, only a few hundred feet off the deck, at it's bare minimum flight speed so as to keep it's schedule. In Karl's quarters, the wall computer next his bed lit up and began to beep loudly, stirring the big man from his sleep and forcing him to get up for a shower. Ten minutes later he was dressed in his pilots suit and heading for the briefing room, where he then called up to the bridge for the officer on duty to make a ship wide call to prepare for the coming fight. |

(TIMESKIP) As the alarm rang next to his bed, Eddy quickly shot out from underneath the covers darting for the bathroom. First thing he did was take the morning piss and shit out what he'd eaten yesterday. Then, jumping into the shower he took a quick fifteen-minute one, stepping out refreshed. Quickly getting into his pilot suit, Eddy kept the helmet off until he actually needed to put it on. After a very quick run to the mess hall to grab a bite, he made an even quicker run to the ready room, bacon sandwich in hand. "Sorry, decided to get some fuel in my stomach." |

Zane Zane woke up on his own without the need of his alarm clock. He wasn't tired when he went into his room for rest, and he wasn't tired now. After the brief walk into the pilot's locker room, Zane was in his pilot suit and headed for the briefing room. Leet Leet heard the call to arms on the intercom and started to do his normal routine of shouting orders to his men. His orders were procedure, and he had to put his men on high alert despite the fact that the chance of a infiltration by the enemy was less than 1%. Even with these slim odds, they still had to be ready. Walking through the hangar, Leet almost tripped over a small boy. "Oh Jeez" Leet said as the kid looked at him in terror. He seemed for afraid of being in trouble than of the man himself. Calling up the bridge, Leet made sure the Captain was aware of their little stowaway, and received orders to put him somewhere safe until after the operation. Forcing the kid to follow, Leet locked him in his office, and gave him a rubix cube to keep his mind busy. |

Jim's alarm had gone off three hours after launch, and he'd spent a few hours with 1LT Boyle, MSGT Larson, and SGT Kemper going over the battleplan, finalizing a few things and overall preparing for the mission. Jim had changed into a set of digicam BDUs in preparation for the op, ensuring that he'd had a camo version of the Hurricanes' patch for his cammies. He heard the announcement to assemble in the briefing room and headed off, eager to rescue his friends. He plopped himself into a seat in the briefing room, ready to roll. ____________________________________________ Ambrose had been overseeing some final mods to his Hazel, trying to compensate for the lost parts when the announcement to assemble came through. He glanced at his watch and shook his head, wondering where all the time went, and headed for the briefing room, sitting down next to Jim. |

Dracid was roused by the announcement. He groaned and rolled himself onto his feet. He combed back his hair rather quickly, trying to at least look somewhat decent, then got dressed and headed to the locker room to grab his pilot suit. He put it on and tucked the helmet under his arm and headed towards the briefing room. He entered and stood against the wall. He really didn't have much to say, so he planted his left foot and the wall and waited. |

*Bunnying everyone for the sake of boredom* Over the course of ten minutes the rest of the pilot compliment on board the Azuza filed into the briefing room and took their seats, nodding slowly Karl stepped up from his leaning position in the far corner and walked to the front, grabbing a cup of coffee from a table on his way, "Alright folks, might as well get the party started, I know it's a pain in the ass to be launching this thing this early in the morning after we spent the better part of the last few days hashing out the details but plans dictate it to be so and so here we are. For those of you who aren't already aware of the target or it's nature we're assaulting the Titans prison on La Isla de los Alcatraces, Alcatraz for those of you who don't bother to read anything besides a cockpit manual. The purpose of this op will be to free a large number of AEUG prisoners as well as the former crew mates of Lt. Anderson and Ens. Saytrus. Yes they're former Titans but like our friends here they refused to take part in the very reason we've been brought together as a fighting force. These men and women are true patriots, not Federation, not Zeon, those two terms don't matter here, they're patriots of humanity, as are the rest of us. Now, I'll turn the next segment over to the Lt. so he can explain the ground part of the mission, after which I'll tie in the mobile suits' jobs," Karl turned and nodded to Jim, "Lt., you have the floor." Karl then walked to the front row of seats and sat down, sipping his coffee. |
