Ennis rested his chin on his hand as he though for a moment, shrugging before he replied to Erol. "There are rumors of Karaba units all over the place, but its like chasing shadows. A Karaba 'unit' might be a single guy scoping out a base, so it's difficult to get a hard lock on the guys. According to intel the largest group of known hostiles on Earth is the group that hit Jaburo. Last word had them running away from the crater they made of the place, heading towards North America. They got away on two Garuda-class ships, apparently. But they're way outside our range right now. We might get sent to help with them, but I think we'll be put back on the Azusa's trail once we get word of them again. |

Sean Sean took a sporkful of ketchupy eggs and listened to them talk. He was amazed no one tried asking him if he knew where any of them were, though since Sean was under an assumed named and willingly stayed as an Ensign while in the AEUG, he couldn't really help them anyways. To wash down the meal, Sean opted to have juice instead of coffee. "Now, I may be remembering my military bases in the Pacific, but will Pearl Harbor have enough resources to actually....fix...this ship, or are spare parts coming in from Cally?" |

"I know that they have the facilities, at least. The Harbor was a huge base before the War, and despite the pounding the Navy took they never downgraded the base itself. Some spare parts might have to be shipped in, but we really don't have to worry about that. We simply ask for repairs and get sent to Pearl Harbor, so that's where the needed supplies will be. And if they're not," Ennis said, his voice taking on the usual military tone of contempt for REMFs who couldn't do their job right, "we'll crack some heads and get our supplies anyways." |

Sean Sean continued to eat, noting everyone else being... silent...to say the least. "You know, you guys don't know how to make breakfast interesting. I'm sure there's a fight or two breaking out on the Azura over who gets the last donut or something." |

"That maybe so, but I'm also positive that they won that last fight not us. It's natural to be in a down mood after loosing fight, I'm sure you're well aware of that." He shifted back to the main discussion, "We're going to Hawaii, Pearl Harbor specifically. We need repairs, then we're continuing to hunt down the AEUG. That's everything cut and dry. Unless I'm missing anything there, this debriefing is over, correct?" |

"Pretty much, yeah. As long as everyone makes sure their machines are in shape, we're going to be dealing with boredom for a while. And somebody make a note, we should get some donuts on this barge," Ennis said, standing up and trying to maintain an upbeat mood in the face of Nash's bad one. "Now, Nash, if you'll just come to my office, we can sort out whatever it is you're interested in," Ennis said to the lt. commander, leaving the mess hall and leading the way to his office. (Orrick, let's skip over the part where we enter the office and just get right to it, speed things up so we can get to the Harbor and start sipping fruity drinks) |

Nash followed Ennis into the office and found himself a chair that e was more than willing to sit on. "I'll get to my point about what I wanted to speak about, Musharif. I don't like the way that an Ensign, no matter who said individual is gets their own way in every matter. I want something out of high command since their little lap dog decided to take my machine, for likely nothing more than a suck up mission. I'm quite sure you've had it with High command's somewhat dimwitted attitude towards you since your stay with the Titans as well." Nash waited to hear what Ennis had to say before actually stating what he wanted. |

"As I've been known to say, Om is a tactical moron who sees every problem as a nail and keeps scrambling to get himself a bigger hammer. This lapdog crapshoot is just going to cause more problems than it fixes. We have few good officers as it is, and some of them are going to stop doing their jobs the right way for fear of getting snitched on. And the rest are likely to start offing members of their crews. God knows Sharan makes homocidal thoughts dance through my head often enough," Ennis said, leaning back in his own chair. "We could always hope Old Baldy has an accident and gets replaced, but I doubt I'd ever be that lucky. And you never heard me say that. We'll just scrape together what we can. So what can the illustrious Titan High Command do to repay you for your Gaplant, Mr. Kryger?" |

"Data, I want every shred of information on the Hazel that we have, including development notes, schematics, technical data, everything short of the machine itself." Nash leaned back in the chair and closed his eyes, in something closely resembling the old way he would peacefully talk to people he said, "As for the Titan command they'll get what they deserve, everyone always does." He opened his eyes again and said, "Of course that is between us as well, some people might take that statement the wrong way, if you know what I mean." |

"Well, this sucks" Sean said as Ennis and Face Mask left to talk in private, which Sean could only perceive as Face Mask making a homosexual advance towards him. With only Erol left, he turned and said. "Well, looks like you're left out of the loop too, eh?" |

Ennis rested his chin one hand while he thought about it for a moment, eventually nodding. "Well, High Command wouldn't like me to be just handing that information out to anybody . . . but you are my second-in-command, after all. It pays to keep you well-informed. I'll get it for you. Now, I'm assuming you've got something technical you want to do with this, and the idea of you coming up with new tricks for the AEUG to fight works just fine for me, but make sure its only that. I see that data showing up anywhere else and we're going to have problems, understand? |

A smirk came over his face as an image of something, something fierce, appeared before his mind. "I assure you, what I'm planning, what I'm working on. It'll be something that makes the AEUG regret ever starting this war against us." Nash stood up casually and looked Ennis in the eye once more, "Just let me know as soon as we get it, I can only advance so far with the information I currently have. Until you need me, I'll be in my quarters working on just that." With a quick, casual salute Nash left for his room. |

"Well, maybe there's some hope for us as a team after all. If for no other reason than a mutal desire for victory," Ennis thought after Nash left, and he turned on his computer to begin digging up the data on the Hazel. A few minutes later he was into the secure Titan database, and his credentials were more than enough to begin acquiring the information on the faux Gundam. Ennis grinned at the ease of the operation, but the grin turned to a frown when he noticed something. "Someone else has been digging into the database from this ship," he thought as he noticed a data trail a mile wide. "Might have been the ship commander . . . but the only other person who might have access would be . . . oh hell, I better figure this out. Days Later . . . The Garuda stood out in stark contrast to the blue sky above and the blue sea below as it came in for its landing. It was beautiful weather, really, but Ennis didn't notice much of it, even when they touched down and the hangar doors opened, letting the sun shine in. He was still in his uniform for the moment, although he intended to ditch it for a while once everybody was on their way. Of course, he had to wear it for some official business. The unofficial kind would have to wait until Sharan returned, and he was determined to enjoy himself just a little before dealing with that mess. Having gotten Nash his data, Ennis had pretty much proven to himself that Sharan had been mucking around in places he shouldn't have. But for what reason? "Commander Ennis? a lieutenant from the base asked, walking up the ramp towards Ennis. "We've got those Rick Dias parts you requested, sir. If you could just sign for them, we can get to work installing them. "Right, well, give it here and I'll get things moving," Ennis replied, taking the paperwork and pushing Sharan out of his mind for the moment. |

"That," replying to Sean, "or just flying through the loop." Proceeding to scoop his eyes with a fork. "My father says 'that all a man needs to be able to comfortably live with a woman is food, sex and peace. That's why your mother and I have gotten along so well for so long.' In this outfit, if not just the military, God willing, all I need is the sky and something to fly and I'm happy enough. I don't need anything else weighing me down," nodding "Along with the occasional adventure and excitement," quickly adding. "And the salary with the Titans combined with few chances I sometimes get to spend money mends I can actually pay off my school loans before I reach thirty." "Though... now I wonder if I should invest in a video camera, a popcorn machine, a ticket booth and a roll of tickets." Referring to the Zeonic lapdog and Masked Man among others. * * * * Days later once the Garuda transport plane touched down and opened its hangar Erol had sped down with outstretched arms then just as quickly let out a squeak and covered the back of his hands over his eyes. "Gah! That's bright." Edited by Ziryab, Mar 31 2009, 07:50 PM.

*wouldn't the EFSF pay for Erol's schooling as a bonus for his service like most modern militaries?* Sean Days went by and they finally reached their little tourism paradise of a destination. Sean was in his room at the time, and the rumbling that occurred when the wheels touched down with the surface was an obvious sign of their arrival. One of the MP's creeked open the door to inform Sean tat they arrived. Upon hearing this, Sean replied with "Really? I thought that shaking was the guy in the next room plowing a fat chick. Who taught you people to fly a plane, the Polish Air Force?" A little annoyed, the MP shut the door, though laughter could be heard coming from the second MP. 'Maybe I should bury myself int eh sand while I'm here, that way I won't have to be involved in all this bullshit.' he thought to himself while stretching. |
