Ennis snorted, rolling his eyes. "'Good for the Principality' my ass," he muttered. "Only shreds of the Principality left are out on the asteroid belt, living in a giant rock. Of course, Delaz didn't face that fact and went and made everything worse. God, I wish that bastard had bought it at A Boa Qu. Thanks to him everything's going nuts again. Mark my words, by the time the AEUG, the Titans, the Feddies, and Axis if it ever comes back, are through the bodies will pile from Earth to right up here on this rock." Ennis shook his head and took another sip, gritting his teeth as it burned its way down his throat. He slammed the glass back down on the table. "Anyways, there's actually something I wanted to talk to you about. You remember back during the Jaburo op, when I started questioning anyone who could serve the Principality after the gassings and the drop? Do you remember what your reply was?" |

"No I don't, exactly, I do remember somethign about protecting my home from the evil of an earth based government, I agree with you though, the wars need to stop if humanity is ever going to survive, course it'd also help if people would stop killing anyone who didn't listen to them or their ideals." Karl chided and shrugged as he downed his glass and filled it again, his third helping. |

"Specifcally, you said that it didn't matter what your superiors had done. You were going to do your job all the same. I never agreed with you. Not then, not after the War. But these days I'm seeing things differently. It seems that fate's tossed me in your old position, and I find that I can sympathize with you now. Superiors be damned, there's work to be done," Ennis said with a shrug. |

"That was only because I had plan of my own had Zeon won, why do you think I worked so hard to get to the position I was in?" Karl countered, he knew that Ennis could sympathize with the first part of his reason for not caring but the one thing he'd kept form everyone, even Sean was that he'd planned to start an insurrection against the Zabi's had Zeon won. |

Ennis sighed, finishing his drink and ordering a second one. "Everybody's got an ulterior motive, these days. Of course, if you were scheming during the War than you were par for the course with the Principality. Sometimes I wonder, which contributed to Zeon's loss more, Beam Spray Guns or back-stabbing conspiracies? Too close to tell, I think." "Even then, things were so much . . . simpler. Now they've got more factions on both 'sides' than I can shake a beam saber at, and more than half of them want to space me." Ennis sighed again before having another thought. "And somehow I doubt your strange bedfellows over at Anaheim are playing straight with you, either," Ennis said with a smirk. "They'll slip the dagger into both our backs the second they can." |

Zane: What are they talking about? "How the hell would I know that?" Zane:....maybe you're a newtype? "What? Being from Earth doesn't make me a newtype. Besides, even if I was, how would I hear them?" Zane: Magic. "Sometimes I wonder about you Zane. I'm gonna get a drink, fucking parched just sitting here." Bill moved up to the bar and ordered a coke. Bartender: What are you? Some sort of girl? "Yeah that's right, I'm a girl. I like to put little flowers in my hair, and I want to kiss all the boys. So make with the coke before you find yourself with your pants down in the fettle position crying like a wilderbeast." The bartender got a tad peeved and told him that his mouth would get him in trouble while passing him a coke.Bill took his drink and sat down next to Zane. "That went well." |

Franke had long given up on trying to understand the conversation between the two men and had just gone back to drinking, occasionally glancing between both men as they spoke - but mostly looking somewhat bored out of her skull, She sighed and looked mournfully at her now dry glass, and placed her one good elbow onto the table resting her chin on the back of her palm with a slight yawn and trying to make head or tail of the conversation. |

Jim headed out on the buggy and pulled into the Zeon district of the city. Despite being out of the Titans for two years, not to mention living in the Colonies for those years, he still felt pretty uncomfortable in this area. Well, you did spend twelve years dedicated to killing these guys. Only natural you still feel uneasy Jim thought as he headed to the Cyclops bar. Parking the buggy, Jim elected to leave his .45 in the glovebox, since he doubted they approved of mixing firearms and alcohol here any more than he did. He did still have his boot knife and three small throwing knives well concealed on him, though, and with his mastery of Krav Maga in quarters this tight his own body was probably deadlier than a handgun anyway. As he entered the bar, the smells common to bars everywhere washed over him: beer, harder stuff, cigarette smoke, and unwashed humanity. Jim nearly gagged as he realized he still made it a point of avoiding bars like the plague ever since he'd reformed. He hadn't even realized he'd been going to a bar, so focused he was on talking to Karl about getting a rescue mission for the Hurricanes put together. He caught a few dirty looks from patrons before he spotted Karl, talking it up with someone he found himself surprised to say he vaguely recognized from videos he'd seen in the Titans. Endo..Enryo...Ennis...Ending... I don't know, he was someone big Jim thought, remembering the vids they'd had to watch of this guy. Serious OYW hero, but is he still in? Don't mention that in case he is - these people would kill BOTH of us. Jim walked up to Karl and said "Hey Karl. Who's your date?" he asked, motioning to the guy. |

Karl frowned, *Why the hell is he here? Do these feddie types have a death wish or something?*, "Just chatting with an old friend, James Ennis, this is Jim Johnson." Karl gave Jim a hard look indicating that he needed to play along and that everything was not alright. |

Jim saw the look Karl shot him, and certainly recognized the name. Commander James Ennis. He was one of the best. Shit, he's still active duty with them Jim mentally swore. If he's still an active Titan, then what the fuck is he doing here. I need to talk to Karl in private. He put a smile on his face and said "Nice to meet you James. Jim Johnson" extending his hand. "How do you know Karl?" he asked. |

Zane popped up an eyebrow as soon as Jim entered the room and asked "What's he doing here? He is by far the most Feddy out of all of us, with the exception of you." "I've was in Zeon for the War of Independence, that makes me a spacey. But we shouldn't try to blow his cover. You go up and see what he's thinking. I' think I can hold fort down here." Zane: Fine, but don't cause any trouble. Last thing I need is to rescue you from a bar fight. Zane left his chair and worked his way to the group. He put his hand on Jim's shoulder and simply asked "What's up?" |

Franke raised an eyebrow as the Reaper pilot was joined by not one...but two other men, she dropped her hand beneath the table, making gestures at her men at the bar to be alert just incase anything went down that would threaten her client - he might not get on with some of the Zeon millitary, but he was paying her a rather hansome sum of money to get him off of Luna - and she was going to see him at least far enough to pick up the first five thousand credits, She intercepted the hand making its way for 'James' she wasn't really going to speculate on wether or not her client was using his real name, smiling to the younger-looking man in a threatening fashion, "Hiya, Franke Giest, Funf Team...you're a little far from America aren't you, with an accent like that?" she grinned, "Signed up with Zeon when we captured that pissant little streach of land? Or did you take a wrong turning looking for your friend and ended up on a bar that isn't very...welcoming...to Feddie types?" She chuckled, she could allready feel the tensions rising in the room, just having an earther accent was enough to get someone started on you, and this guy wasn't even wearing a jacket. |

Karl chuckled and moved his free hand nonchalantly to his side holster, things weren't going how he'd thought they would, his idiot subordinates had decided to follow him even though he'd told no one where he was going. The one Franke intercepted is meant to be Jim, not Zane. Thus, she's correct in identifying her target as an Earthnoid. Please edit ASAP, as we've got a bit of a stumbling block here. -GM ace |

"We're old buddies," he said to Jim before Franke intercepted him. But the curious thing was the man who looked strangely like Alicia, the prisoner still onboard the Retiro Ennis picked up his drink and took another sip, raising one eyebrow at Karl in a questioning manner and nodding in the man's direction. "Seems like Jim here recognizes me. And if that's Zane Doberman, well, shit. So, Karl, I wonder how you're going to let this one play out. Could be messy," Ennis thought as he drank. "We've got a regular old powder keg waiting to go off." |

Deep breath in; "One"; deep breath out. Deep breath in; "Two"; deep breath out. Deep breath in; "Three"; the knife slowly and steadily slid into Anke's abdomen, making a half inch slit along the side of the wound tract. Quite a bit more painful than a finger, Anke couldn't help to keep quiet, though hopefully she couldn't be heard over the din coming from the bar. When she felt the knife make contact with the bullet, Anke paused a bit for some more deep breaths before twisting the knife so its flat side was against the bullet. With her right arm across her stomach (the dislocated one), she pressed towards the bullet to make a firmer surface agains which she proceeded to pry the bullet out with the knife. What seemed like an hour later, and after several breaks to give her shoulder a rest, a deformed 9mm bullet clinked to the bathroom floor. Anke now had to work quickly as the wound began bleeding again for lack of something to stop it. Having nothing better to use than paper towels, she plugged up the area with several damp towels before putting several mor layers flat on top. There was some tape in her pack which she used to tape the towels in place. "Of course I didn't pack any gauze or a sewing kit. I've been out of the game too long," she complained to herself as she cleaned up. Sutting off the water, Anke realized it was a little too quiet for being in a bar. Something wasn't right and it was probably because of Ennis. She made a move to get up and head for the door, but soon realized she had used most of her strength already. "Well, hell. Guess I'll just stay here until something bad enough happens to get some adrenaline flowing." |
