"One large regular and *insert Jim's order* coming right up, or whenever I get a chance to come back." Bill sped off out of the ship and out the secret tunnel, as if he wasn't being conspicuous enough. Bill is now entering the other topic in VB :P |

As Bill left to get the pizzas, Jim kept mulling over his de facto promotion to a squad leader. Gotta show some serious initiative on this one he decided before he told Ibram "Wait here a minute. I'm gonna get Chelsea and we're gonna run some sims." he told the young Ensign before getting on the 7MC and calling the bridge. "Bridge, Hangar bay, JA" After a second the sound powered phone rang and he picked up. "Hangar bay, Officer of the Deck, go ahead." "OOD, Ensign Anderson, can you have Ensign Vera report to the hangar" "Roger that, Ensign." the OOD replied. A second later the shipwide announcement came over the 1MC "Ensign Vera, report to the hangar bay. Repeat, Ensign Vera report to the hangar bay immediately" The announcement ended, and Jim started mulling over the exercise he would plan for them. My bout from A Baoa Que would be perfect, but they're not ready for that yet. Basic 3 on 3 he elected as he waited for Ensign Vera. |

Ens. Ibram Gaunt "Yes, sir." Ibram nodded as he turned back to the lift and rode it up to his Nemo's cockpit hatch. Settling back in, he brought the machine out of repair mode and put what he'd been messing with back together so that the machine would run at optimal efficiency even during a practice simulation. Then, he made sure that the on-board computer knew that this was practice and that any adjustments he made to the controls would not move the actual mobile suit itself. "Embarassing" wouldn't even describe it if Gaunt started up the simulation and had the Nemo tear itself free of its repair bay and go stomping all around, flying into walls while he flew against imaginary enemies. He'd never live that one down, not to mention all the damage it would cause. Still, it was a relatively simple adjustment to take the motor functions offline and set the computer into simulation mode. Gaunt wondered what kind of simulation they would be running. He'd seen more than a few in flight training, as they didn't trust you with a real mobile suit until the latter half of your time there. Even before you were allowed to get your mandatory one hundred hours of flight time in a GM Trainer you had to have the simulations down perfectly. Ibram felt pretty comfortable with simulations, but still...the other two members of the squad HAD to have had some kind of combat experience, which put them leaps and bounds ahead of him just out of the gate. He'd have to watch himself and take his cues from Jim. |

Karl wandered his way down to the hangar deck to work on a new project he'd been planning on since he'd gotten his Rick Dias. He headed into the cargo area adjacent to the hangar and retrieved a 55 gal. drum of black paint and a spray gun, he then hauled his load over to his new repaired (again) Rick Dias and smiled up at the chubby mobile suit. After setting up his spray system he stripped off his coat, which he laid reverently on a crate neatly folded and his torn up up under shirt which he tossed in the nearest trash can. He then got to work spraying the feet first. --------------------- Yuri looked at the pilot with mild distaste, "The bridge would do fine thank you. From there just show me where the major goings on happen on the ship." |

The messege came over the PA system. It caught Chelsea off guard, she wasn't expecting to be called out anywhere. She quickly ran back to her room, and they quickly changed into her uniform. Then she grabbed onto a grav lift and headed down to the hangar. The thought that kept running through her mind was, "Am I in trouble for damaging my machine. No, I didn't get it that badly damaged. What could it be?" She entered the hangar still upset about the way she had acted earlier when they had launched in that scramble. |

Jim saw Chelsea enter the hangar and waved over to her, motioning for her to join him and Ibram over by their suits. "Don't know if you saw the new flight roster, Chels, but you've been reassigned to Gamma Flight under me. Since that last fight treated me kinda... rough" Jim said, pausing as he remembered Ambrose, and then Karl's specific order not to mention that to anyone. "I figured we should run a few simulations together to get the whole teamwork and tactics thing down. Adapted an escort job I had back when I was with the EFSF. Three of us are going to be escorting a small convoy against a few waves of enemy suits. For continuity's sake we'll be in our birds flying against Titans suits. I want to see how both of you react, and I might be changing a few things up depending on how things go in there." Jim said, grinning on the inside as he remembered how much fun messing with nuggets in the sim was. Gotta beat the living hell out of them in here so that out there they don't screw up he knew, remembering the age-old adage 'Practice is a bloodless battle and battle is a bloody drill.' "Mount up, team" he said, climbing into his somewhat repaired Rick Dias. His crew chief had at least finished enough work on it so Jim could fly the sim from it. |

Ens. Ibram Gaunt Ibram had climbed back down to hear Jim's little mission briefing and meet the other pilot after he finished getting his Nemo set for the simulation. He stayed quiet while Jim spoke, but before heading back to his mobile suit he offered Chelsea a friendly smile and a handshake. "Hi, I'm Ibram Gaunt. Look forward to flying with you." If she chose to accept the handshake, she would find his grip firm but not overbearing. Some people, especially men, tried to crush your hand as a show of dominance, but Gaunt seemed to be pretty laid back. After listening to any response she might have to his pleasantries, he kicked back off the deck and moon-hopped over to the lift again, which returned him to his Nemo's cockpit. "Gamma 2 to Gamma Leader," Gaunt opened up the team's radio link once he'd settled in and closed the cockpit hatch, "Don't suppose you could give us any more specifics about this escort mission? How many transports are we protecting and of what types?" The panoramic monitor that would normally have showed the hangar were a dull gray, waiting to run whatever simulation Jim loaded. Gaunt set his Nemo's computer to simulate full readiness and give him full control as soon as the simulation began. His Nemo had a full fuel and energy gauge as well as standard armament: the GM beam rifle, shield, vulcan guns, and beam sabers. |

After finishing on the part of his suit that he could reach form the deck he brought a lift over and began working his way up the suit, making sure to not miss even one square inch of the suit, he wanted it to be completely black, his trade mark. After only an hour of working his way up the suit he finished his paint job, he thought about adding on a Reaper symbol for nostalgic purposes but decided against it since the majority of his unit was still former feddies and having not one but three Zeon symbols on his suit might end badly. |

Eddy, after seeing Chelsea run off for training, decided to pay a visit down to the hangar bay area to see if he could help out with repairs. After a while of floating down the corridors, wearing his trademark shades, Eddy reached the hangar and noticed something that made him chuckle after landing gently on solid ground. "Well, Karl, I will say this...all you need are some tiny flicks of white paint across the board and you'll blend in with the starfield just fine." |

"Now why would I want to do that? I just like the look of a pure black suit, besides in space it stands out no matter what from the thrusters. Anyway I gotta get this stuff put away, I have an errand to run." Karl got down off the lift and rounded up all his gear, he then retrieved his coat and stowed the painting gear in the cargo bay. Walking down off the ramp he headed over to a low nondescript building sitting near the end of the dock. This was the local HQ for the AEUG's intelligence department. Walking inside he found a pair of AEUG operatives sitting at their computer terminals, "Howdy, I'm Lt. Comdr. Karl Tirpitz from the Gibberish, I need these names," Karl handed the list that Jim had written up for him over, "Found in the Federation prison data base, specifically I need to know where they're being held." (K Redshirt, your turn.) |

"Alright, see you around, Karl," Eddy said, looking around to see if any of the repair crews needed a hand. Since it appeared they didn't, it was finally time to collect on that bet he'd lost to Jim. Sliding down a ladder to the hangar floor, Eddy began running the first of those 50 laps he'd promised to run. 'My legs are gonna be so sore by the time this is over...' Eddy hilariously mused to himself. |

Lieutenant Falls of AEUG intel took the list of names. "I'll do what I can, sir. Feddie prison database is gonna be tough to crack, but I'll do what I can" he said before looking at the sheet. Fabrizio Mantovani and Rick Nero? Where have I heard those two names befo - the Marsa Allan. Falls remembered the incident in which a Titans ship and squadron had refused to fire on civilians, and all the parties had been arrested for treason by that bastard Bask Om. "I remember these guys, Commander. All of them were Titans, but they were arrested for having morals. Good men." Falls glanced down at the list again, the wheels turning in his head. "We going to do something about these men being wrongfully imprisoned, Commander?" he asked, arching an eyebrow. |
