"A Dom against a Nemo? I've survived worse mismatches in birds" Jim said, a thin smile crossing his mouth at the prospect of seeing just how good a guy who Rick would've thrown out of the Hurricanes inside of ten seconds really was. He was a full Commander in the Zekes during the One Year War, so he can fight real good, I know that much. My real question is can he lead effectively? Jim mused on the ride back to the ship. |

Karl laughed, "Not even close man, the Dias makes even the Nemo look like a toy," *bit of a timeskip* Karl pulled the buggy up next to the loading ramp that led to the starboard launch deck of the Gibberish, his Dias was still on the truck, "Have you gone over the specs for the Nemo and the Dias yet? I'd rather my pilots know how to use both if need be." Karl put out his blunt and stashed the roach in his weed baggy. |

"You wanna try being a nugget flying a first-run GM against a pair of Gelgoogs flown by vets, be my guest Karl." Jim chuckled, ignoring the stares of his teammates as they openly gaped at him when he talked about his time in the OYW. "Like I said guys, I'll explain at the ship." he said, cutting the conversations before they got started. |

(Since no one was there to hear it, want me to remove the speech for you, so you can post it later on?) Karl went of his suit with a the scrutiny of a fiberglass piping quality control specialist (Believe me it's worse than a diamond inspectors job), after ten or so minutes he found nothing wrong with his suit so he made his way to the cockpit and sat down in the pilots seat, using the light gravity Karl raised his suit to a standing position, after waiting for the transport to move out of the way he walked his Dias over to it's cradle and got on the radio, "Hey Jim, why not have our little match now?" Karl then got out and headed for his quarters to don his black pilots suit and old Zeon style helmet. Done with that, he headed back down to wait for his soon to be victim. |

Jim was anxious to tell his fellow pilots who he really was so he could finally get it off his chest. However, when they'd gotten back to the ship everyone else was still at Anaheim. Consequently, he'd gone straight to his stateroom and grabbed the lockbox. He pulled out the photo of the Hurricanes and looked at himself, still barely recognizable as the young Lieutenant in the shot. Let's change that he thought, grabbing a shave kit. He entered the shower and methodically shaved off the massive beard he'd grown over the last year, then trimmed his hair from the long, ragtag mess it had been back into a textbook military cut - #1 on the sides faded into some length on the top. Clean shaven and with a regulation haircut, he reached into the box and pulled out his class ring. So many memories he thought, thinking of his classmates as he donned the massive EFSF Academy ring. As he finished cleaning himself up, he heard Karl on the intercom asking if he was ready for their duel. I wanted to tell the guys, but no sense keeping da boss waiting he thought as he replied "Why not, I've got nothing better to do." Changing into his normal suit, Jim headed for the hangar and crawled into his Nemo, starting preflight immediately. |

Karl grinned as his Dias's weapons were loaded up, he was going full bore on James, no holding back at all, they'd all been set for training though, which took some of the zeal out Karl, he always hated simulating a kill, "Just never feels the same, but I guess that's just my sadistic side talking." He headed up on the lift to his cockpit and started the suit up fully, activating the combat simulation system to allow him to monitor himself and his opponent, when he was done he called over to James in his Nemo, "Alright, so as to keep us from destroying the place what do you say we head out onto the surface? There's a crater near here that would do just fine for our purposes." |

Before Karl left, Bill made the statement of checking out the gift shop for a second. He wanted to see if they had anything amusing to use to simmer his boredom down a bit. After five minutes of searching, he finds something that would've done it, purchased it, and headed back to the buggy. The new guy, that damn bastard, took his seat. Hopping in the back like a child, Bill was silent so he could keep the item a slight secret. It's no fun to reveal a joke prior to it happening. Then the time skip happened, and Bill noticed they were at the ship. 'I'm cursed' he thought as he hoped out of the buggy and towards the back of the ship. Bill's quick movements and heavy thinking about how to stop the skipping tuned out anything Jim said about Gelgoogs. When he reached the back of the Gibberish, he managed his way up and slapped on a bumper sticker that read "Baby Onboard." "Maybe we'll become invincible now." Bill said to a technician as he got down to view his handiwork. |

"Fine by me Karl. I was always more for open-space combat myself, but I do believe that would send up a magnesium flare to the bastards 'AEUG is here.' Lets get it on" Jim said as he launched off the starboard catapult. "So where is this crater boss?" he asked, looking forward to the first worthy opponent he'd faced since Hank the Tank. |

"It's a ways off the beaten path, shouldn't draw any attention, found it back when I was searching for salvageable materials as a Junker, just follow my lead." Karl walked his suit over to the cat and signaled for control to send control over to him, when he got the green he fired his thrusters and the cat and flew off the deck, landing just short of the outer door he waited for Anderson to follow. |

"Roger," Karl opened the MS sized airlock and then closed it when Jim stepped in behind him, he then closed the door behind him and opened the spaceside door, stepping out he quickly got his bearings, "Alright make sure you stay low so we don't get spotted coming from here, the crater is about two hundred klicks to port."." Karl kicked off and headed in the direction he'd indicated. (Gonna start our own little thread in the Surface forum.) |

With his day's work completed, he walked to the front of the ship. "No one is here yet? What the hell could they be so interested about? It's not like any of them actually know shit about mobile suits." Bill said to no one in particular as he walked backed into the ship. |

Eddy, after giving the Nemo a good looking over, decided it was time to head back to the ship. Taking out his cell phone, he dialed up David's number and said before hanging up, "David, I'm heading back. Tell everyone that if they want to head back, they'll be another buggy outside." After exiting the factory, Eddy turned in his visitor's pass to the desk and walked back outside to the buggy. Looking around, he saw another buggy for the others to head back with. Good, that meant he wouldn't have to serve as chauffeur. Setting it on auto-pilot to take the most discreet path to the secret hangar, Eddy jumped into the driver's seat and watched as the buggy drove itself back to the hangar undetected. Hopping out of the buggy and onto the flight deck, Eddy stretched his arms and legs for a moment before looking around. |

Day dreaming, Bill continued to the ship. Seeing Eddy, and only Eddy come back, he started to wonder where everyone else went. 'He seriously didn't leave them behind did he?' Bill thought to himself before getting close enough to have been heard by the Alpha leader. "Hey Eddy, where the hell is the rest of the crew?" Bill inquired. |

"They're all back at the Anaheim facility. Don't worry, there's another buggy for them to take back to the ship. And I called David telling him about the buggy before I left. You seriously didn't think I'd leave them behind without any safe means of transport, did you? If you did, then you don't know shit about me," Eddy said the last part cynically. |
