| Welcome to Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam: The Gryps War. After three and a half years, this site has finally gone inactive, due to waning interest and gradually lower attendance numbers. However, the site will remain up for the forseeable future to showcase the One Year War and The Gryps War archives. Feel free to take a look, or to contact admins and members, many of whom have moved onto other RPG projects. Join the fight! If you're already a member, then come on in already: |

1. To be able to play you must first create a profile, following the template provided. You must also follow the staff planned timeline, if you don't each offense will be treated case to case. 2. Be fair. Godmoding, force hitting, metagaming and bunnying are not allowed at all. Don't do it. If it happens, each case will be taken differently on the severity of its impact. Definitions. 3. Be courteous. RPing is not about killing the other guy, or making him look bad. In reality you need to make him look good. You need to take some hits once in a while, you can't win every battle. Remember to think of the people you're playing and respect their actions. 4. You ultimately control when your player dies. This is a saving grace, and a responsibility. You need to fairly pay the reaper, when its your time. 5. Traveling around takes a certain amount of time. Don't have your character be in North America one second and suddenly at space in another. The same goes for traveling across battlefields. 6a. Do not randomly engage and destroy NPC grunts during a fight. If an enemy PC is available, you should engage them in a PC vs. PC fight. But if you insist on fighting NPC grunts, the opposing side has the option of controlling the NPC(s) to fight against your character and keep the fight from becoming a pointless slaughter of NPC characters. (PC vs. PC fights are preferred over NPC fights.) here are the rest of the NPC rules. 6b. When attempting to fight a PC vs. PC battle, please specify who you are shooting at before doing so. For example, when shooting at an enemy PC, note in parenthesis who you are shooting at to keep confusion to a minimum. 7a. Only use suits from your faction's hangar, and ones you're allowed to use. Don't like them? Request different ones in the MS suit request forum, BUT your faction leader has the ultimate decision on whether or not you get that suit .Fan made rules 7b. The use of non-standard equipment is allowed but permission must be obtained beforehand from your faction leader and depending on the nature of the equipment and the verdict of the staff, the request must be resubmitted in order to transfer said equipment to a new unit. 7c. The mobile suit specs that are accepted and used on this site are based on those found off of MAHQ. Any specs brought in from another source must be agreed upon by the entire staff before being submitted in-game as factual. 8. DO NOT DOUBLE POST. We have set an edit time of posts in order to prevent players from retconning events when the resulting effects on the plot are not to their liking. After your editing time is up, do not double post afterward. That would constitute as spam, which is not allowed as is. 9. There can be no more than two people fighting any one player (this will be left up to the player being engaged). Also if there unengaged players you have to find and engage them, even if it means that you can be stuck in RP limbo. 10. Newtypes are chosen by the staff based on how a player conducts their self ingame and out of game, I.E. GM'ing, FH'ing, MG'ing, Flaming, Disrespect or any other blatant violation can disqualify you so dont even ask or hint that your character might be one without permission. 11. Canon characters are strictly off limits to all players, unless given prior permission by one of the staff. 12. A player may not leave another player in combat limbo for more than 48 hours (Unless sufficient reason for the absence is given.), anything beyond this the player left in limbo may request permission from the Staff, via PM, to call the hit. (This is board-wide) Note: You may not call kills, or deal damage that will force a kill 13a. The timeline is not for normal players to mess with, leave that to the site staff, I.E. No making things jump forward because you're bored. Note: If you're given permission, please post it in a foot note. 13b. The storyline, meaning the general direction of the story, is decided up and set by the staff, this as well is off limits to normal members. |
