Just seen an article on the Mesopotamian Akkadians. Realised I have the circular pectoral, the copper helmet of that shape and the axe. I wonder if ISIS would let me visit to do a bit ofLiving History. |

I realized that the plastic sandals which Kurds and Iraqis wear are more or less a modernization of the ancient sandals ... just like the richer villages are building concrete or cinderblocks in the style of old mud brick. Got to love those Johny Shumate paintings! |
