Make sure to check out the pictures of the theoretical construction, which, as far as I can tell from the photos is pretty confidently established. Super cool!

And here's the book it was published in. Looks like this fellow got a hold of portions of the Axel Guttman collection before it was sold off. A bit pricey for 185 pages, alas...

Whoa, that IS cool! Never heard of anything like it. Perfect for the transition from Bronze Age to Iron Age, eh? Check out the X-ray--you can see the raising marks from the hammer!! Wild. Thanks for posting that!

I wonder if there is anything about bimetalic helmets in Tamas Deszo's book on Mesopotamian helmets? I last held that five or six years ago.
