Honors and Band Concert @VCH 23 July 20006

Yesterday at VCH is the stars-cladded night


:band :band :band :band :band
The honors awards concert starts with the presentation of Plaques and certificates to the various Prize Winner , for the Certificate of Participation, Distinction , Silver and Gold Awards

First on the performance is Raffles Girls Symphonic Band with the Baton of
Mr Takehiro Oura
with the Inn of Sixth Happiness by Malcolm Arnold


then Tanjong Katong Girl's School Symphonic band with the <<A movement for ROSA>> by Mark Camphouse with the Baton of Ms Sia Swee Suan



Next our Community band heroes arrived ,in the form of Sembawang Symphonic Winds Conducted by Andrew Ng give us the repertoire of
Noah's Ark by Bert Appermount


Just before the Intermission ,we have the Temasek Junior College Symphonic Band (with Alumni) conducted by Mr Lim Ah lek performing
Machu Picchu - City in the sky by Satoshi Yagisawa


After the Interval ,Aichi Meiden High School perform the Ceremonial March by Takamasa Sakai

then ,an excellent surprise from the ordinary schoolclothes boys and girls of Aichi Meiden which out of surprise they turn to the audience to
perform the handclap beat for the American Graffitti XV by Naohiro Iwai

there was cheers from the audience at their arousing rendition of American Graffiti ,so unique ,so nihongo in style

Then the Maris Stella Wind Symphony(with Alumni)
performed the Invictus by Philip Spark
under the baton of Mr Lim Ah leck

and Last but not least of all , our academic top brass
fields in for us another rendition of the Macchu Pichhu -City in the Sky by Satoshi Yagisawa

:) :) :) :)
all in all ,the night was filled with musical surprise and technical passage
