JC BAND FESTIVAL 2005 12 DEC, ESPLANADE CONCERT HALL Into its 5th year, this event has enjoyed enthusiastic response over the years. Watch band members from 11 Junior Colleges in action as they perform with 6 different conductors in 4 different bands for one night only! Showcasing band pieces ranging from the latest blockbusters such as Miyazaki’s ‘Howl’s moving castle’, to classical band repertoires like Frank Ticheli’s ‘American Elegy’, the concert promises to be an exciting melting pot of sounds from the different cultures all over the globe. Travel with us on a ship in ‘Sea Song’, experience the nightlife of Persia with ‘In a Persian market’ , remember the sympathy and joy one feels for the lesser privileged in a journey with ‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame’ and walk down the streets to the tune of ‘Festival March’. Highlights include Alfred Reed's 'Alleluia Laudamus' for which the pipe organ will perform alongside with the Reed band! DETAILS Concert: Bandfusion!
