we need funding and lots of other factors too. not just scores (it's not really a big problem, most people can get from their schools and photocopy). like, where shall our rehearsal be held? who provides stands? where do we get the money to perform? PERC instruments, where do we get them from?? it's not easy, it really isn't. |

i suggest small ensembles be formed first. could hold little fund-raising concerts etc.. |

hey the small ensemble sounds good...coz for those who have their own instruments,they can form 1st..like quintet...but you need to know where to approach to earn the capital 1st.. |

haha. can ask for funding from any community centres without a band lor. there a quite a few community centres with bands now. i believe there'll be some without and will be willing to fund the formation of a community band. as long as it doesnt go obscelete.. im sure it's gonna be ok. once we get funding from the government aka community centres, den yup. i guess everything will be solved. a suggestion could be to find out from the siglap south community band, Audio Image, or Mus'Art Wind Orchestra from jurong green community centre i think. yah. juz lk into the details of setting up a band lor. i think this idea's actually not bad. yeah. |
