Symphony Orchestra Conductors are needed to be very good in listening, expression, skills in conducting as well as teaching as most Orchestra Players are highly qualified in their instrument. Symphony Orchestra Condutors are also players withing Orchestra itself and receives degrees in music like their instrument, conducting etc. before they could apply for the post. Thus working in the field of Symphony Orchestra Conductor is very taxing and stressful. Excluding Wind Orchestras like Tokyo Kosei, Belgian Winds, which are experts in their field of music. Singapore Wind Bands are easy to cope with as long you have the passion to teach music, express music, and if u do research on music. Most Wind Bands in Singapore are young thus have a number of youths who love music, from there on, u can teach them and build a good out of nothing, but OF COURSE you must be ready for the taxing and tedious work u have to do with the sections and adminstrations like lack of instruments, players, accessories etc. Bands like Saint Patrick, Victoria, Saint Andrew etc. come a long way before they are the standard they are now. Thus to build up a band, u also gotta be commited and not to give up halfway as condutor for a Wind Band, is NOT a game.
