An animated movie from the creators of Akira (well, the artist anyway) that I thoroughly enjoyed. Seriously, whoever got the random British voice actors; nice job! A 2004 release of the steampunk variety; all kinds of turning cogs and sprockets, shooting jets of steam exhaust, and loads of spiderweb-like valve and pipe mazes xD I just love all of the impossible inventions and gadgets depicted in the movie lol, some of them make sooooo very little sense.

The plot is roughly about a young boy who comes into possession of an item called the Steam Ball, a strange metal sphere with a valve attached that is said to contain enough pressure to power any great machine. Insanity ensues when all sorts of bad guys and creeps attempt to pilfer said Steam Ball.

It was a great find, especially in the animated market (I love Pixar, I really do, but the run-of-the-mill family stuff gets old after a while). I hope you enjoy it!

10 out of 5 stars on the Joey the Joey scale x3
It figures that I get mugged right after finding a million dollars in ones just laying on the sidewalk...
