Ahh, Lost, the show that you hate to love and love to hate. Or something like that? You know what, nevermind, its just an evil TV show! Therefore, because the show itself is evil, all of the characters must thus be evil, including Locke. Anyways, in all seriousness, I could be less enthused about the show at the moment, simply because it always leaves me really disappointed (yet at the same time intrigued :P). Anyways, I'm sure I'll still watch it and love it, but right now I must say meh! And, after saying meh... when does it return?

Actually I'm not entirely sure, but it has to be soon, since all those shows are coming back on now, like House. |

Well, I never got into it, and never...actually plan too...I don't know, the first episodes I watched never intrigued me enough for me to actually care about the show. |

Fair enough! So... you never answered your own question about Loch's moral position on the show! |

I personally don't think we should jump to conclusions about Locke being evil now that he's died and come back, it seems he knows more then us. |

Thursday, January 31st, 8/7c is when Lost actually comes back. Anywho, I bring it up because on Tuesday I bought the first three seasons of it, and I just finished watching it earlier today. Yes, I realize how incredibely insane that is, but, in all fairness, it was the only thing my sister would do. Anywho, I must say that, watching the entire show like that, all in a row, I was reminded not only how wonderful, captivating, and unique it is, but I also saw plenty of new things that made me really want to see the new season. While ABC's method of airing the show makes me hate it, its still such a great show to watch! On the topic of Locke being evil or not, I think I can give a proper opinion now that I've seen everything again and in so short a time. In the first season, Locke's gol was to discover his destiny; his life had been one terrible event after another (more so than most of the other people) and so, when he crashed on the island and found that he could walk again, he realized that he had not found his destiny, but it had found him. In the second season, after discovering the hatch and losing Boone, which he thought was a "sacrifice the island demanded", Locke began to question his faith as he found out more and more about the hatch's origins and the Dharma initiative, which eventually led him to cease pressing the very button which he had believed was his destiny to press. In the third season, the island helped him find his way again by giving him a new jounrey which brought him into the arms of "The Others," though he found conflict with them due to differing opinions between him and their leader, Ben. At the end of the third season, Locke returned after having been shot and left for dead by Ben, to kill Naomi and attempt to prevent Jack from contacting her freighter and saving them, which thus brings about the question of his moral status. However, I think that there is no question; Locke is not evil, but neither is he good. While there is something startling about his ability to kill Naomi, someone he knew nothing about, when he could not kill his father, someone he knew far too many terrible things about, I see no startling change. Locke is simply doing what he has always done; following his destiny and acting on the island's behalf, and I tihnk that the fourth season will continue this as he becomes more intuned to it than even Ben and "the Others" are. |

Good observation...unfortunately I am so out of tuned with the series that I really can't rebuttal or agree because...I just don't know anymore...they took long of a hiatus. And how long did that take?

*shruggle* you started this September 22nd with the idea that a new season was beginning, so I would guess that the thirsd season was over by the middle of summer '07. So a long time. |

Yes I did. It was pretty good, though, like any individual episode, nothing really happened. The show is going to be really strange now, though, for reasons which should be evident from watching the season three finale and this episode, but I don't want to spoil anything. You should be able to watch it on ABC.com within a few days, if not now. |

I just watched it, it was really good, and the recap show really helped explain why things happened the way they did. It was a fantastic episode, and the flashforwards were really awesome! Hopefully they'll stick becuase it's like more story now instead of past story which really just told us why they did what they did. |

True, though the flashbacks were a great method of developing character, which is really why the show is as good as it is; everyone is a fully dynamic character whose stories overlap in interesting and usually startling ways. While I think the flashforwards are interesting as well because of what they reveal, they kind of hinder the show at the moment, in my opinion, as they're basically answers to questions which have been asked yet, as opposed to answers in the form of questions.
Still, its a great show which I'm sure will be well worth watching! Also, I highly recommend watching the first three seasons over, as the show is infitely better if you watch it all at the same time. Really: I've watched about six tv shows in their entirety over the past few months, and Lost is still the best one in my mind. |

Yeah but...70 episodes! Most of the time their moving in circles of some kind...meh...anyways, I think the flash forward thing is fresh.:P I think they can do some really interesting things with it, and I can't wait to see what they do with it...on another note I will, once again, miss this next episode due to work! Luckily not House, that's on tonight after the Super Bowl.

Blargle flargle! Well at least ABC puts the episode online pretty quickly. It takes FOX 8 days to upload an episode of House! Thats just ridiculous. And off topic. My appologies. |

Yep, ABC does good with Lost, and it's in HD! So it's even better, it's actually better to watch online then to watch on the TV. |

5 commercials, and you can skip them after 30 seconds.:) It's great to watch Lost that way...but probably better in DVD. If it wasn't 45 dollars a season I may have picked it up. |

Yah, they sure are expensive! But, compared to other TV shows, you really get a lot for it, considering that each season is approximately 23 hour-long episodes, while most shows end at about 15 or so. Regardless, it is infinitely better being ablle to watch them so close together! |
