Hi, I'm Peter Pop(not my real name). But you can call me Poker. Don't ask why. I have a question about Legacy training. I'm a "pilot" who has all AC series for PS2 (AC04, AC5, ACZ). My question is, do you have a Legacy training, and if yes, when, the hole year or just in summer? |

We try to involve everyone, both here and on ACS, in various legacy tournaments throughout the year. We also have a ongoing Tips & Tricks topic on each game, that members are encouraged to read and add to, if they have something to contribute. We also have internal scoring contests, for bragging rights, as evidenced by the symbols you see in the lower left of our sigs. I am one of only two current Aquila Triple Aces (I recently was awarded this, becoming Aquila's seventh Triple Ace of all time), and my symbols (I call them 'cuts' because I used to work in check printing) represent that I have attained the minimum ceiling for the ace award in AC4, AC5 and AC0. We have not yet declared a ceiling for AC6, but I have a cut ready for it (I do the squad sigs). You'll notice all my cuts are white. Those are the lowest ace rankings. We also have a Yellow Ace cut, for a higher (and harder) score ceiling, and the Red Ace, which is for the score leader in each game. I believe the current Red Ace in AC5 is Werewolf (Yellow 85, our other Triple Ace). Everyone is required to provide screenshots for any ace award or competition scoring. Four years ago, when we started out, we tried doing it on the honor system, but we found that some people had a desire to lord it over everyone without actually attaining the required score levels. If you read our Aquila history, you'll find a passage there about it. We value honor and honesty, here, and are quick to boot cheaters of any kind. The Inter-Squadron Competition, or ISC, is where legacy teams from any squadron can compete in AC5, doing all 32 missions in a month's time......again, screenshots are required. We won the first ISC, fair and square, but the next two were rife with accusations of cheating (not by us, I wouldn't allow it), and cheating was proven in ISC III. We hope that ISC 2009 will be better. Werewolf and I, along with Blue 15 (Viggen) will be competing in that one, and we certainly could use a reserve pilot (2 are allowed) that would fly the missions with us and share in the awards (usually a special ribbon chosen by me) and bragging rights over other squads......assuming we win. ;) I hope that helps. if you have any other questions that cannot be answered by browsing the public portions of the site (what you are seeing), feel free to ask. :2cool: |

Ok, thank you Yellow 13, I'm thinking to leave the Lancers and join Aquilla, but I must obtain little more info, Talking of information, I have another question. I read the welcoming post from Firegal. She was talking about RP. Does PM count as OOC? What is IM? And I will read your history. |

The stories started out as just fun things for some of us to do, but they have turned into a running story, in the case of the Aquila History (Parts 1 & 2). They'll give you a sense of who we really are and the things we've done and want to do. A lot of real-world happenings are incorporated into our fanfics and, as you'll see, if you transfer, into our teachings, too. Plus, as amateur writers, we always want opinions on our work. :) |

It seems like I will read the Aquila History tomorrow, as i must go to sleep. I had a party with my, now ex, class, so I didn't have the time to read. But I did read some Journey Home Topics(all except the topic about the meaning of Aquila, because it's to long, and the Why sq. topic because I have read it somewhere before...) I know I will learn a lot of you with fanfic about Aquila, but it will take me some time... |

Welcome Peter, Taking time to read and ask questions is always good. We like people to know what we are like before they join. It helps to make sure we are a good match. We try to offer a good amount of legacy play. Werewolf (Yellow 85) is going strong in legacy play and runs that branch. We don'thave a lot of online players, so we'd like to fill that out too. As for the RP stuff, PMs are private so no, and IM is instant message. We had issues with people earlier in our history, who came here just to cause problems. The line had to be drawn. |

Poker Pop, As the leader of our Legacy branch, I try to keep legacy players active with internal and external challenges and competitions. We have an annual AC4 Comp and we do ACZ and AC5 challenges. As you know, I'm pretty dedicated to AC Legacy games by my Challenge record on ACS. We do work as a team here to provide information to members on the best methods of obtaining high scores and fast times. Our Elite Ace Status is something to be proud of and is something that isn't given, it has to be earned, and many of our Alumni have The Elite Ace Status. Ranks are determined by activity and by how you advance and perform in the game. If you strive to achieve Elite Ace in one or all three Legacy games, you will be recognized for your success. |

That one is gonna be up to the Commander to answer. We already have a Yellow 99 and we're supposed to be integrating the squads back into Yellow, so I cannot say for sure if that ID would be open to you. Hopefully, the choice of whether to join us or not won't not hang upon if we can give you a specific ID. :nono: |
