You can post pics here, if.....

a.) You host them, and
b.) We don't wind up with 30 juvenile posts between each pic, like on ac.net. No arguments, no crap, just pics for everybody!

You know 13, I had to laugh at that statement. Everyone in 7th grade made fun of me when because I was quiet, and I have a wierd nose. They said I looked like Boris from Goldeneye and called me the Russian Spy! I know, off topic.

And yet another pic, I feel as if I am on a roll.

Yay! It's the moment you've all been waiting for. Here are my pics of the annual Westfield Air Show at Barnes Municipal Airport/ANG Base.

I went to this thing back in August and finaly got around to scanning and fixing the photos from it. My mom let me borrow her camera. It's not much, but it has a nice zoom. That, and with photoshop, I tried to make the pics look semi-pro. Just an FYI, some of the pics are croped very small. However, I took all of them.

There's alot of photos, but here's the first lot, the Soviet Lot. This is, of course Yellow Squadron. :D This first one is a nice shot on an Antonov An-2. The Colt, initialy designed as an agricultural aircraft, first rolled off the assembly line in 1949. Around 5000 were produced. China began production of it's own verson, the Y-5, in the mid 70s. The aircraft is still used in North Korea for personel transport. This particular one flies leisure trips across the Bering Straight.

This bad boy is the only lisenced MiG-17 in the US. It's flown by a man from Kansas and sponsored by Red Bull (cliche, I know). They fly the Cold-War jet around to numerious airshows across the country, showcasing the Fresco's versatility as a formidable adversary to the F-86.
Posted Image

The MiG-17 did several high speed flybys during it's performance, showing off it's afterburner capabilities. This takes up alot of fuel, which was one of the fighter's downfalls. When the Red Bull team travels to different airshows, they stop regurlarly about every 400 miles to refuel. It's still impressive to see, non the less.
Posted Image

Oh yes, this is the F-86 I spoke of. During the Korean War, this legandary fighter fought against the Russian built MiG-15s, and later, MiG-17s. This thing didn't fly though. It just so happens the day I go to the show, it rains all day. Too bad too, it would have been awsome.

Stay tunes for more.... B)

That second one...I have a model of it. It's called the Su-27K or Su-33. Takes off kutzenov carriers. Russia's answer to the F-14, it's something I think shoul have been in AC05 instead of the Su-32/34 (would also allow yellow squadron to do carrier ops in true russian style B) ).
The model I have is currently nackerd, it's front undercarriage got broken off, the tail has snapped in a clean line & one of the struts for the right undercarriage is broken, all happaned in a gust recently, just haven't had the time as of late to fix it. Will have it up again soon though.

& The last pic, Su-35 "701" with an Mil Mi-12 "Homer" at Monino Museum/aircraft grave yard, Russia (think AMARC).
That helicopter is friggin huge, dwarfs the Su-35 & Mig 29 that are under it's rotors.

T4 Interceptor. Now would you think that they would make this out of it as well, forget Aurora, this is the talk, & back in the days when technology was really a fraction of what it is today.

& to think they wqere going to make those last two at one point
