Why the heck am I not allowed to edit my own subject title?! I was trying to say "Sparse" not "Spare". :(

Nobody seems to come here anymore. Not nearly as many people as there used to be when I first lurked and then joined the forums. I just feel kinda depressed about it, its one of the few places I actually frequent on the internet. Ive also been going through a lot of other depression lately and its a little sad that there isnt anybody to talk to.

Really sorry to hear you've been feeling depressed lately. I hope you can work through that ok.

The forum has died down, this is true. I tend to believe it's harder to get webcomic centric forums going nowadays, with things like Twitter and Facebook groups. To be honest, I haven't been too focused on Alone in a Forum. Time is certainly a factor. But also because when the new website debuts, it will feature the typical Wordpress/ Comicpress comment feature that lets you leave a comic right on the webpage for each comic. I have a feeling this will most likely faze out the need for a proper forum. I'm always going to leave Alone in a Forum up and linked for readers who want to form a real community, but the main focus in the future will most likely be on site comments, Twitter, and the like.

Of course, if I'm wrong and as AIAC grows this forum has a huge growth as well, then you can be sure I will put a great deal of focus on it :faith:

My main point is, right now we just have to wait and see how things play out. I greatly appreciate everyone devotion to the forum so far though. You guys rock! :happyhope:

I dont see as how Twitter or Facebook could replace a nice forum. Some people dont use either one. And I dont know how we're going to post fan art, etc. on that type of comment page.

yeah, well see how it goes. :-/

Well, again, the forum wont be going away. It'll still be here. I'd be thrilled to see it thrive, don't get me wrong :faith:

It's true, some people don't use either Twitter or Facebook, that's why the comments on the main page come in handy. you don't have to go to a whole other webpage to comment on a strip, it's right there underneath.

Not to mention I will always post links to fanart in Twitter/ Facebook, plus post them in a blog post on the site. Also, the new website will have a whole section devoted to fanart :happyhope:

The whole "quiet forum" thing seems to be going around a lot lately. I suspect economics is part of it - people tend to be too busy and stressed. (Which is still kind of confusing; I quit using Twitter and FaceBook for those very reasons *long* before I found my forum activity declining!)

I've been away for too long. I'm actually surprised that there aren't any discussion threads for the last few updates. (That, or I finally need glasses because I managed not to notice.)

I'm kind of an internet drifter. Here one week, there the next. And so on. That's sort of my only explanation for why I haven't been around for a while.

Yeesh, I'm even posting to a thread that hasn't updated since 2011!

As I suspected, this forum has gotten quieter since the comic switched to the ability to post right below each comic. That 's not a bad thing -- the immediacy and ease of posting is worthwhile -- but it does remove some incentive to come here and pursue other somewhat-related subjects.
Older than you, and still immature.
