I can't believe it really, I get the results I've worked all year for a few days ago & yet I'm still not completely satisfied.

I realised that life at the moment is boring the s**t out of me...

Every day in the last few months have started & ended in exactly the same way, TV, WWE, Music, Games & everything else is enthralling me less & less as time goes by. Even talking to people has lost it's muster to me recently.

I dunno what's causing this... but damn it I want to feel excited about waking up for a day... not feel like I'm just walking around like a mindless zombie without the desire to at least do something that makes me feel fulfilled in some way.

I know what you mean, it happens to me alot recently,
The only thing that really keeps me excited is my writing, so maybe you should try and find something you like to do where you can keep on advancing in.

Ive been feeling that way for a while myself. Perhaps you need to play around with your routine a bit. Also it could be depression, Ive dealt with that all my life.

As I understand it, those results mean you'll be going to college.... which is a pretty HUGE change in routine. If nothing else, that should shake up the boredom!

Probably you're in a bit of a depressive funk too; it happens to everyone, especially artists & musicians (depression DOESN'T mean feeling bad, it means not FEELING). For most people it's temporary & minor. Unfortunately, if you aren't "most people" it can be damn hard getting anyone to take it seriously. I've been trying for over a decade without much luck....

I think Bazul has a good point. Finding something creative to immerse yourself in can really help in that regard. After all, I think the running joke for me is "I don't need a therapist, I draw a comic strip."

What about your music? Could working on that and creating possibly help you deal with these feelings?

Also, take heart in the fact that we all goes through these slumps now and then. They don't last forever :) For now though, courage.

He has a point. I've never really done well with big life changes myself, have you been going through any anxieties as well as depression, Cream?

I completely agree, Alpha. Thats a good way of putting it. I have neither highs nor lows, I feel like I have no feeling like I am empty and apathetic (lethargic, lackadaisical, whatever you wanna call it). And yeah, its hard to get people to take you seriously when they arent like that at all. Ive had to deal with it all my life since I was a kid.

Im gonna have to just pour myself into my work again and stop waiting to find the energy I need to be creative again and just do it, no pain no gain as they say.

Musicwise I'm getting things together for my bands first small appearance in a live venue. I just haven't been able to get hold of my guitarist & bassist recently to get some practices in for it.

I'm trying to build my characters & story together for a book I wanna write. There are some certain things I'm having trouble getting information on.

Also XBOX Live has come back on, which is making playing games more better.

I feel much better now than I was a few days ago... dunno how I can change my routine much though as it is remotly the same for most days.

I'd also suggest adding something new to the routine or re-doing something you did in the past which you really liked.

I one time got back into Graphics Art after about 3 Years and started watching Lucky Star from the start again to pass my depression.
Worked wonders. xP
