I got bored in school today, so I drew Hopetails on all the people in my history book. I think it makes history more interesting!

....our teacher didn't seem to agree though....she wont let me go outside for recess <_< *slumps*

I don't know if she wears Hopetails or not, but Melora Creager of Rasputina certainly makes history more interesting! :D

Odd juxtaposition of three "Alone in a Thing"-s in a row. Redundancy, much? (Not that I'm complaining!) :P

Maybe I should change the third one to simply say "AIAC"

That is pretty funny. I don't think I ever took notice of just how much it repeats under that thread.

Look, the honest truth is, I just wanna slap the name of my comic on anything I can ;)

I hope you all have a good drive to work or school tomorrow on the Alone in a Crowd freeway!

My interesting happening for the day is finding this AudioBoo I made that I forgot about:

I don't think I ever posted that here, did I? At the very least, I made myself laugh

I registered for my state ID today. The lady who registered me was nice and I even signed up to donate my organs when I die! Oh, and vote too.

I was in the mall yesterday and saw a device promoted as the "Portable Scanner Wand."

Posted Image

....can this thing POSSIBLY work like it's supposed to? I mean, if it's up to your hand to guide it, can it really capture a perfect scan? I would thing there's too many variables for error there, rather than how a scanner guides the bar along the image perfectly.

Well, for $99, I sure hope it works well enough. I'm sure not buying one though.

I'm guessing it works quite differently from a flatbed. Probably takes wider picture segments and lines them all up by overlapping and matching and stuff.

What if they used hot oil instead of cold water? It would, well, mostly work... one part of it wouldn't quite work, I admit... but it would be warm and toasty... plus some people have an oil fetish...

That's not a bad idea in theory. Hot oil would definitely give off a sensual look (plus it would feel soooo nice!). I tend to mostly stay away from the stuff though, after this one.......incident.

We were filming a scene, and we were both covered with the stuff. Why you ask?......it's erotica, we didn't need a reason. Anyway, after we were finished filming, I went to walk over to my chair for a towel and I had just enough of the oil on my foot to make me go sliding backwards and hit the floor with quite a thud.

Not one of my more favorable experiences. I wasn't able to do any filming or photo-shoots for so many days. YOU try to look sexy with a giant bruise on your ass :P

Hehehe, why thank you :D

I'm surprised I don't try to record things like that more often. I'm constantly coming up with these goofy characters or scenes and such at work.

I'm not sure whether my co-workers appreciate that or hate me for it :P

On the 3rd floor of my college building where me & my friends normally stay around during our free periods & breaks, there's a Senior Tutor who always keeps his door open. He keeps sending us away from it (about twice a week) because we're being too noisy &/or not doing work because it's a "study area" (even though it actually isn't) & yesterday I got even more annoyed with him.

There was a photography exam on said floor, me & a few of my mates were being quiet. He still told us to leave for being quiet apparently. What amazed me next was he went to the table across from us to 3 guys who were just sitting there, he said "I think you should go as well", one responded "Why?". He replied "Well you're not working, therefore you will probably be talking & you're gonna have to leave because of that". Those 3 were just sitting there doing nothing & they were targeted by him for nothing.

I even found out that years ago, when there were male & female toilets in the corridor next to his office, he decided to change them to STAFF toilets because he hated all the noise around his office. Well, the female toilet still remains but I have to go 2 floors down to use the toilet because the male one is now where the janitor/cleaning people keep their stuff. He was also probably insrumental in getting rid of the cafe on that floor (that was also near his office) due to the noise now that I think about it. NOW HOW UNFAIR & WRONG IS IT? That a guy can change the set-up of toilets & a whole floor based on his own needs. I won't stand for it!

The other 2 floors haven't got this problem, they can be as noisy as they want & do what they want without consequence, so why do we have to be quiet all the time? He keeps his door open 24/7 when he's in there, why can't he shut it if he wants quiet, MY senior tutor does that so why can't he? Maybe he doesn't like the sound of other people? I dunno... because every time he sends us away it's for more absurd reasons & I feel more like shouting at him back &/or punching him because he pisses me off so much.

That's my rant for the day <_<

You know, my first thought is: doors close for a reason. If he's SO obsessed with being able to focus and not having too much noise around, why in the world would he always leave his door open? That makes no sense. There should be a happy middle ground to find here, not "hey, I deserve to have the right to leave my door open, but you guys don't deserve the any rights that people on other floors get!"

"You're not working and will probably be talking." PROBABLY? So people are getting in trouble for things they MIGHT do now? My gosh, that's just plain dumb. It's like a guy browsing through DVDs in a store, and then a clerk coming over and saying "sir, you have to leave because you might shoplift one of those."

Ugh, sorry you have to put up with that Creamcrazy. Courage, my friend (and don't resort to punching. That wont help your cause).

Hope says: :hope: "Violence never solves anything.......except when it does.....but it's still bad......even if it has brought good sometimes......"

........thanks Hope, big help there <_<

As for my interesting happening, I got to meet up with an estranged friend for dinner this evening. We haven't really spoken for.....about 4 years. Truth be told, I hurt her pretty badly (totally didn't mean or want to), and it took a while for things to mend. But we had a great time tonight. It was like nothing had ever happened and we were as close as we were years ago.

So that made me very happy :happyhope: Plus, that was some dang good sushi we had!

Naw, if he closed it, how would he yell at people? Some people don't seem to have any other ambitions in life, and most of them apparently love broadcasting the fact as well.

If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook, this is old news, but for those who don't:

My Dad wants to throw out my old computer that I got back when I was a freshman in high school and that he had been using a few years ago before I bought him his current one. Considering there's a couple back-up computers in the family and that the thing was about 12 years old, it really was of no use to us. But my uncle had advised us that we should remove the hard drive first and smash it, that way no one could swipe the hard drive and retrieve and information that may have been left behind. So I opened up the tower to discover......I had no flipping idea how that hard drive was supposed to be removed. (I TOLD you guys I don't know as much about computers as I should :sadfaith:)

So, I could not be more "proud" of my Dad and I for the end result of this story. Upon realizing none of our screwdrivers could fit the screws, and that even they weren't the main source for what was holding that thing in there, we reached for the most sophisticated of tools...

A crowbar ;)

Hey, it worked :happyhope:

Mr. Crowbar Approves!

Is that a 'Slender Crowbar?'

Tom, that's just incomprehensible to me. I never go *anywhere* without my miniature screwdriver set & spare screws..... B)

(well, ok, I usually leave the screws at home, but I always know where they are! & of course plenty of ribbon cables, bezel plates, etc etc....)

Once upon a time I knew what to use them for. ;)

What happened to me today shows how rubbish public transport is.

I was sitting at the bus stop in the cold rain. The time came for the bus to arrive, it didn't... the bus didn't come for 45 minutes, hell the bus didn't move from it's parked spot the entire time. Not only that, the other bus that went to my home stopped & the driver decided to get his shopping & talk for ages on his mobile.

It got us all annoyed that the bus company wouldn't give us an explanation for our long delay.
