Nice! Looks good with the curve of the chin and neck. I really like the leave/branch in her hands though, that's a nice touch *thumbs up* Oh, and after scrolling through the Daily Booth, I've gotta say, love that you drew the laughing man symbol on that white board  That's at your school, I'm assuming? And does your sister know she's now an internet celebrity? (appearing on Daily Booth and Alone in a Forum will do that do a person, wont it? )
HAHAHAHA!!! YES!!! Somehow I wonder if Hope could have as powerful an effect though... |

Thanks. I made it just for the occasion. (I had to add that last bit so that YouTube wouldn't throw the video off for copyright violation.) |

TOM: Good one. XD I swear I didn't notice them feeling different from each other either. However, once I KNEW they were different pairs, I couldn't NOT feel a difference between them. It was weird. The effect of previous knowledge on perception is quite interesting. Dad has a (really annoying) way of informing everyone if he thinks he used too much salt in the soup, for instance. After that, it does taste too salty. >_> Starlogic: Awesome snow girl I like the leaves too! I made a little snow wolf waiting for the train home yesterday. Started a snow bunny waiting for the bus, but I only got halfways >_> couldn't they have been late? It's been snowing like crazy here, today. It was just a white daze of flakes outside my window some hours. I'm glad I opted to stay at home, there's a risk my train would've been canceled... I went out walking in it before (the snow, not the train) and it was so deep I could plop back on a hillside like a chilly beanbag  Comfy. I love this weather, as long as I don't have to drive in it

If not it, they might recognize the "Catcher in the Rye" quote at least. She will know and hopefully you wont get hurt over it
Oh man, that drives me nuts when people do that. You can't help but taste it after that sometimes. It's awful.
Between that and your commission, I really feel like watching "InuYasha." It's been so long. |

I went to visit my Grandmother today, and she asked me "How are your drawings going?" I told her "Good. There's a lot of people who really like them now." That's the best way I could think to answer that she'd understand. Anyway, her response to that was this: "Well, tell them to get you going then!" I'm not why she chose to phrase it like that. Well, I thought it was sweet. So there you go. You all should do what my Grandma says

Get thee hence, Tom. I have a retro-active happening actually. I was reminded because I just ate the last bit of potatoes au gratin in my freezer. This meal was procured at a seminar last year's November. We had a full day of lectures and discussions, and then some of us stayed for the dinner after, sitting and talking into the small hours with linguist research people from all over the world, it was nothing short of awesome and I was so happy I drove in that day, instead of taking the train, so I didn't have to keep to any schedule. Got to talk to Allan Paivio, from the University of Western Ontario... He was there talking about his dual coding theory, which really resounded with some hunches and ideas I have myself, leads I'd like to follow... Had interesting ideas/ observations and loads of interesting stories to tell, not just within linguistics (he's more in the field of psychology, though they cross) and I got really inspired. (I heard someone later calling him somewhat of a living legend. Lucky I didn't know, or I wouldn't have dared talk to him  I was nervous enough as it was! Most of the professors opened up after a few glasses of wine though ) Where the food comes in? There was a ton of conference food left over when we were about to leave, and we got to know it would be left to spoil and be thrown away in the morning. So we pillaged the table, and I stuffed my freezer with pounds (literally) of potatoes au gratin, and about one and a half big cheese/ham quiche... (on top of that, I carried home about a shopping bag of pasta salad, regular salad, cheese and cape gooseberries.) The last of that stash only ran out this week. |

That's very cool. It's always so enriching to go to a place surrounded by like-minded people, isn't it? Your batteries get charged right up from the inspiration. I know that's how I felt coming back from Webcomics Weekend 2009. Anyway, wow, sounds like you made out like a bandit Free inspiration and free food. Who could ask for more?! :lol:I hope you have some to share with everybody

I was just walking around town, & I saw this balloon fly up in the air with a small kid & a really tall person both run after it. I would put a bet on who'd catch it first  Also, I'm now advertising AIAC at a forum I've just returned too, via my signature. Maybe there will be people from that forum coming here... perhaps :ph43r: |

Hey, it's sole food. Come onnnnnn, you laughed, admit it. I went into work special today, and since it's a Sunday there's very few people in the office (even less this Sunday since someone called out). So I ate lunch with my boss and the co-worker in the cubicle next to me, and my boss was telling us how she installed a chandelier in her daughter's bedroom over the weekend. Is this a new trend I'm not aware of? I've never heard of people putting chandeliers in their bedrooms. I suppose it does add to the allure of the room, unless it was too gaudy. |
