I listened to this right when you posted it. I myself was in bed at the time :happyhope: You sounded so exhausted! You almost sound like a different person, not in a bad way though.

I've been to the Mohegan Sun many times but never to the arena, is it a good venue for a concert?

Yeah, I could have used a bed at that point, heh. Between being up since 6:15 a.m., working a full day, and some drinking at the show, I was beat.

(Yes kids, I drank early so it would all wear off by the time I drove home. AIAC sez: Don't drink and drive :konahope:)

It's pretty a nice venue. It's not exactly huge, but not too small either. We were in the highest section (because I waiting too long to get tickets) and we could still see great! Plus I like it because it's under a half hour drive from where I live, unlike any other area around here that's close to an hour away.

Sorry for not being so active, Had several things going on.

Firstly, I've been "fired" from the group of game modders because "I wasent partaking a big part".
I was never 'Working' for them, I was working with them for no money, I made them the stroy of theier entire game and they never even
did anything in return, I worked hard to get a decent story that made sense for them and they never gave anything in return, not even credits.
I've also done Digital Art for them just because i wanted to, no thanks there eaither.

Problem is, I never had any licenses on my work (>.> like I really needed it) so they just took the story I made them, changed it entirely and claimed it thaier own, atleast thats as far as I know.

So now im stuck back in square one to become a Game Writer.
Meh, sometimes stuff dont go as you plan.

Interesting happening of the night (though more like frustrating): my glasses broke in half.

No, literally: http://yfrog.com/n17yczj

I guess when they said "Unbreakable," they meant "only for three years, then you're screwed." Seriously, all I went to do was wipe them with my shirt, and they snapped.

The worse part is that they're too then in that spot to hot glue, and it's too far over to a side to tape or anything like that.

THANKFULLY I have a spare pair of glasses, but they're cheapo ones that are strictly for emergencies. The frames are HUGE and the lenses themselves are really thick (my normal glasses have special lenses that don't have to be as thick). So I'm rocking a big ol' nerd look for the next week or so :grumpfaith:

I think you look better with glasses. I'm the same way... I look like a completely different person without my specs, which is the main reason I don't go for contacts (I do own some, but I don't use them).

Why thank you! ^_^

I really don't think glasses are anywhere near the social stigma they were YEARS ago. The people that seem to still believe they are kind of perplex me.

I watched that energy drink review video you linked to on Twitter. Your glasses are cool! Tinted blue and all.

Cool! Glad you watched it! :)

Yeah, I wear tinted blue glasses at all times. They're a 50% tint, and a full sunglass tint is 80%, so it's obvious they're not sunglasses. But the very occasional person still calls them that! Grr.

I mostly wear them because I just like how they look on me, but it also has the added benefit of cutting down on harsh lighting. Plus, even on the cloudiest of days, the sky is always blue to me. Really! It's nice.

I think tinted glasses look so cool and I would LOVE to have a pair. But I'm very particular about eyes. Like I said in the video, I don't like the idea of shoving something in my eye. It just weird me out. Anytime I see a scene in a movie where someone has something to their eyes it really gets to me. I'm not sure why. Along the same lines (but not really at all, heh), I don't like looking through tinted lenses. I can never wear sunglasses or anything like that for any length of time because I have this feeling that I'm not seeing the world for how it truly is. Like, I want to see the real colors of things more than anything else.

Yeah, I know full well I'm weird :happyhope: I just wish said weirdness wouldn't effect stylistic choice sometimes...

I literally opened that link on my iPhone while on lunch break at work with Dyana, and blurted out in the middle of eating: "....NOOOOO! That's just....NO!! WHY WOULD SUCH A THING EXIST!?"

Hehehehe, I guess you had to be there, but it was funny :D

Ugh, the video where it looks like it's sucking on the people's faces.....NO!!! :sorryfaith:

Sure, they tell you it's nifty now, but just wait until the dang thing malfunctions and squishes your eyeballs like grapes! :yankhope:

....I'd rather have eye-strain.

OK, I'm done :P

The magnificent typo, "alone in a crows", still goes straight to this here webcomic. Of course, that's likely because google knows how to recognize typos and searched for "alone in a crowd" anyway, but it's pretty telling that this comes up as the top result.

(For context, I'd forgotten the URL for the comic after having reduced internet-related activity for a while (life got busier, and all), and losing my bookmarks along the way. Hence the google search.)

Of course, now I'm wondering how to associate AIAC with crows...

Over the last couple of days I've been recovering from seeing Alter Bridge live for the 2nd time. It was a great gig, not as good as 2 years ago BUT I had an absolute blast!

My friend enjoyed every minute of it, which made me very happy; having bought the ticket & treated him to a good time out in London & the gig all in one day... it really made me smile to hear him say that it's been one of the best days of his life. Hearing that made me realise how far I had come from years a go where I didn't have many people to call friends, & how years on I now have to treasure the people I know & meet as they are the foil for being able to keep me on this Earth for years after.

AB played flawlessly, although the sound was very loud; which even with earplugs in was evident... they still played their songs to perfection. One song in particular, from the new album caught me off guard live. Ghost Of Days Gone By is about mortality, regret, & the memories that continue to live on in us all. I'd fallen in love with the song due to how I could relate that after all I went through with my attempted suicide, depression & injuries that I may still be a different person now, but no matter how much I evolve these memories will stick with me forever. The bridge right before the solo repeats the words "I Don't Wanna Die..." a couple of times. Live, with the memories of said moments in my head with those words being said, with me singing them back I couldn't hold back the tears... so symbolic of what i've been through & that I didn't end it all makes that song mean so much more to me than many songs do.

Thanks AB for a great night.... you guys own!

Maybe for Halloween one of them should dress up as "The Crow?"

The (flash) tag (with square brackets of course) seems to work fine in the new forum; it also did in Jimmy's Vortex, but I don't think it did in the old AIAF.

(for some reason, over in BGN the tag is "youtube" instead...)

Oddly, I used to have a pair of polarized prescription sunglasses that threw everything into such amazing relief that I kinda hated putting the regular ones on when I went back indoors!
