Oh yeah, they sure did! I thought "American Eulogy" was a mainstay for this tour. They played it at the show I was at a year ago, this one, and it's on that "Last Night on Earth: Live in Tokyo" EP. It's a shame you had to miss it, they do an extended version and it's really cool! Oh man, I was so excited they playced "Letterbomb!" That's one of my favorite songs of American Idiot. More exciting than that though was "J.A.R." I've heard of them playing that in past tours, but I was not expecting it here. It was awesome! I'm just kind of bombed I missed THIS bit of awesomeness by only one show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osdeqqGc4t0 - one of my very favorite obscure Green Day songs with Davey Havok of A.F.I. running out to join them! WHY oh why couldn't this have happened at my show? Even if it wasn't my show, that's still just one of the coolest things ever. I can't stop watching that Youtube clip!
Oh how awesome! Congrats Icy!
Take heart; college is A LOT more enjoyable than high school. Trust me. Are you moving to a campus or commuting to a college from home? |

That's what I did for my first two years of college, and it worked out pretty well. It's what I thought I wanted at the time, and in those regards, it was perfect. Had a really beautiful campus right on the water too (it was a smaller UCONN campus, not the full on one in Storrs). However, I must admit, after I did move onto a campus for the third year, I did regret not moving away right away and getting the whole college experience. I felt like I missed out on a lot. But I have a lot of regrets of things not done regarding college. I can't blame them all on not moving away for the first two years. Some are my own foolish fault as well. So if I can impart any words upon you Starlogic, it would be this: not matter what, enjoy college to the fullest This chance isn't going come around again. (well, education-wise it can, but life experience....not as easily)

@ Starlogic: Good luck with college ^^ I'm getting back in the fray myself in a week or so, I hope... @TOM: Lucky b-d That concert sounds like megatons of fun. Me? I was at MeuwCon last weekend, fun times. (Anime and Japanese pop culture in general) While there was not so much cool merch (we got there too late both the first two days) there were some really nifty cosplays, we had fun dancing outside (they set up speakers in the inner yard) and on the last day, I caught the doll club I'm part of so I could talk a little and have a closer look at the dolls they brought. Hee. I was only wearing kitty ears and a collar, for lack of time to make a costume. But some of us were Hellgirl, Pocahontas, Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas, and a second anime character I honestly don't recognize. The girl doing Enma Ai /Hellgirl was wearing those clunky kinda wooden sandals, and they messed up her feet, but she kept wearing them for two days. Her manliness level rose, there. D: Not as much as mine, apparently, as I was mistaken for a guy twice in the same day. We also looted bound-for-bin prints off the walls on the closing day. I've got Lucky Star, One Piece, Lain, Akira, Hellsing and GITS prints waiting to cover my walls now. Most of them are a little "striped" but some, including the One Piece that one of my friends picked for me, are actually quite nice quality. Then before leaving the capital (where the con took place) we squeezed in an hour or two for shopping in the old parts of the city, and it's lucky I didn't buy much of anything at the con, 'cause I found a marked down gothic lolita-ish dress, and I actually bought it. I'll have to modify it a little 'cause it's too big, but it's real pretty ^^ |

@BaZul: Sounds like a good trip. Have fun! @ImaginaryCornerSquirell: Haha! Awww, how cute! Well, maybe you should check on that @Loopy: Oh wow, that sounds really awesome Loopy! That's cool you got to meet up with the club in person and all. Plus I'm sure it was a lot of fun to go dancing outside around everyone in costume too The Gothic Lolita style is always really interesting, so I bet that's a lovely dress. Enjoy it!
Um, you might want to rephrase that sentence, lest people think your were struttin' around the con naked with kitty ears and a tail on  (sorry, couldn't resist)

Aren't we activating the comedy radar today! Aside from basic attire, I was only wearing kitty ears and a collar... Though some would argue that without a costume, kitty ears ARE basic attire. |

I have some extremely good news everyone! I PASSED MY 3RD SET OF GCSE EXAMS ![]() I got a D in Maths (that isn't a pass but I consider that a VAST improvement compared to the last exam I took 3 years ago), a C in Science (which I predicted to get) & unbelievably got an A in English! The English & Science pass grades guaranteed me a place back at the 6th Form College next year. Which is awesome! ![]() I want to give a quick shout out to all those people at the Colchester 6th Form College who worked to get me these marks! The last year there has revitalised me in ways I couldn't describe, I haven't done this well at ANY school or educational establishment in my entire life. You made learning fun, you made me realise my true potential at academic subjects; you made believe in my working spirit & my aspirations to achieve more than ANY place I have ever come across! For that I say thanks & am looking forward to the next 2 years!

Saw Scott Pilgrim VS The World today, you can see my opinions on the topic for it. I just now found my timetable on the 6th Form College website ready for the start of the year tomorrow... I got the perfect timetable for me! I get 3 days where I don't have to come in until the mid morning, both days that I come in first thing in the morning I go home at lunch. Thanks to that I don't have to change my music lesson time & I'm able to get to London for the Alter Bridge gig without having to ask for reasons to leave early just to make it. I couldn't have asked for a better timetable!

OH! I just remembered an interesting happening: someone ran into my mailbox.......again. My mailbox has been slammed by people's cars like three or four times now. It's gotten a bit ridiculous, but people do tend to speed on my road. This time they hit it and drove off in a panic. They left part of their side-view mirror behind. *shakes fist in the air* DAMN PUNKS! I'm keeping your mirror!!! Lost the "E" in all this too. So now the mailbox says "Sz wc"

So I went to one of the BlackDiamondSkye shows the other night, featuring Mastodon, the deftones, and Alice in Chains. Rather than type up my account, I did an Audioboo immediately following it: http://audioboo.fm/boos/185540-blackdiamondskye Can you tell that I was pretty tired by this point?
