Without looking at your injury list (is it bad?) it's just a very disappointing score from a side that a few years ago looked relatively young and scoring in the 80s+. You'd have thought that with a young side / gaining reasonable picks every year / two 'great' players added due to equalisation over the last two years you'd be improving year to year not regressing.

I think it's fair to say the Bulldogs are having a rough year so far... To add insult to injury, the 1st rounder (which now belongs to Ess) is currently a top 5 pick.

From my current 'Best 22' I'm missing:

Adam Saad (hamstring - test)
Alex Pearce (broken leg - season)
Tom Langdon (ankle - 1/2 weeks)
Taylor Adams (hamstring - 3/4 weeks)
Devon Smith (knee - 3/4 weeks)
Toby McLean (foot - unknown)
Garrick Ibbotson (wrist - 1/2 weeks)
Blaine Boekhorst (wrist - 1 week)

Plus from my reserves I've got Broomhead, Apeness, C Pearce, Mohr, King and Lennon all on the injured list and although they aren't as important it definitely still hurts my depth. Add to that Matthew Jaensch choosing Hahndorf over an AFL career.

I've Treloared this situation big time. Except it's even better because I got that pick (plus Freo's 1st) for Dom Tyson who isn't fit to tie Treloar's shoelaces.

Yeah fairo, certainly a few players there who'd be helping your current sitch.

This isn't a dig at you, but a musing per se. As someone who's had essentially two years of 1/2 of my best 15 players being injured at any one time (and for the first time doesn't have that), I've often contemplated the relevance of injury lists on a site like this.

Like when devon smith comes back, he'll displace someone who's getting a game by virtue of that injury. So someone is benefitting in numbers due to injury. Right now on AFFL I am, big time. Like only really JOM and maybe Tom Boyd would be getting a game IRL and aren't right now due to injury/recovery from one. but like i look at the side i submitted on the weekend - 22 players, and reckon that if not for injury, Tucker, Witts, Rose, Marsh and Barrass wouldn't be getting a game. Likewise I'd argue that Sicily, Gresham, Hunt and maybe Byrne would be 50/50. So really as a result of 'injury', I'm up 5-6 players in my 22 that I otherwise would have been.

And I look at your 22, and I'm thinking that of your injury list, Saad, Adams, Smith, Ibbotson are walkins and Pearce, Langdon, McLean and Boekhorst are likely best 22 players if all were available. Which brings you to 23-25 available.

But if nobody was injured, blokes like Hamling, Litherland, Jansen, Armfield and potentially McStay, Nicholls and even blokes like Martin/Redden on current form wouldn't be playing.

I guess my point is that in considering injury lists, it's not just about those 'out' - but also those 'in'
