If Terry's done what is quickly becoming clear than it's almost certainly an instant sacking.

Wow it's all happening. Was always fraught with danger confirming or inferring coaching changes prior to the end of the season.

I don't think there was any danger confirming changes, trouble is none were confirmed.

You said confirming changes was fraught with danger.

It didn't occur, so how can we say how it worked out.

Just got home from footy so couldn't be online.

Ok step by step what happened

I was txting spud trying to work a deal for goldstein and had thrown him an offer of (Hurley, Smith, Oxley & Toumpas for Goldstein & Broadbent).

Spud replied: Goldstein won't be traded

I asked Spud why and if he liked the offer. He responded that the offer was alright and to ask DiT as its his team.

I then approached DiT saying I made the same offer as above to spud and he thought it was alright and to ask you as it would change your side considerably.

DiT said he didn't mind it but wanted to swap Toumpas and change some bits here and there.

We counter back and forth. Adding McBean etc liked was asked.

He made an offer. I accepted, told spud of my discussions with DiT and sent him a screen shot of the PM between myself and DiT.

Offer was posted. Accepted. Then I went to footy so couldn't comment or see any of this.

I wanted to try and bring in Goldstein. Spud wouldn't trade him without DiT being ok with it. I approached DiT.

Having players 'off limits' while teams are still in finals is shit. IMO any club changes should happen after the season is over for all teams involved

This bit I agree with.

That last paragraph is wholly irrelevant

Just need spud to do what you did and give a breakdown of what happened from his side, now. See what matches up and what doesn't. Cause spud indicated he wasn't happy with the offer, but your post indicates that he was.

What I don't understand is how it got from 'Goldstein won't be traded' to 'I'm okay with the offer ask ditty'

And look Terry, even if we take you at face value, one thing to me is clear

You were flirting with the rules and very much operating in a bit of a grey area. When you operate that close to the rules in that grey area, any small mistake or miscommunication can send you over.

Like if what you're saying is true there was a misunderstanding between you and spud. That misunderstanding worsened the situation, unbeknownst to you (as otherwise it's not a misunderstanding) meant that you went from stretching the rules to going too far imo.

At the very least just can't believe none of you three realised that richmond is 100% spuds side for now. Like even if spud suggested incorporating ditty, surely you or ditty ark up and realise that's not how it works?

Yeah I don't get this. You said Spud 'liked the offer' - how can he like the offer when Goldstein is off limits?

Edit: What Stife said.

I cant fathom that anyone would actually do this deal.

The fact that neither ditty or spud claim to have liked the deal, yet it goes through?

Very suss.

Spud thought the initial offer of hurley+ smith + Oxley + toumpas for Goldstein + broadbent was alright.

After talks with ditty and counters back and forth he (DiT) made the final offer that was put in the offical trades section.

Spud was sent a screen shot of the PM with DiT and I told him that's what DiT was happy with.

How could he think it was alright if Goldstein was off limits?

Seems to me like Spud meant "Yeah the deals alright but Goldstein is still off limits" which you then took to Ditty and making the impression Spud had already accepted it. So shady.

All I'm seeing here is manipulated premises.

Kinda like in a three way deal where both parties agree unbeknownst to them the middle man who's coordinated the deal has made off like a bandit. Completely legal in that sense, esky did something similar awhile back? When one bloke acts as the single mode of communication, they can manipulate what the other parties know to their advantage.

I think this is what happened?

Spud believed ditty deserved a say in any deal. Terry misunderstood this

Ditty entered talks with tez, believing that spud had AGREED to a deal, thinking he was receiving the privilege of being allowed a say

Ditty then agreed to a deal thinking that he was merely adding to an already agreed deal

Spud then accepted the deal, thinking that ditty had made it.

~~~~~~
Seems like both spud and dittys perceptions and the reality were very different due to how Terry communicated it. Spud believed ditty deserved a say in any long term deal. Terry made that fact out to be as if spud was okay with a deal and ditty was able to amend it. That is where this has all happened
Correct me if anyone's interpretation differs
I was told to ask DiT by Spud because he wasn't trading any of (Danger, Goldstein or Roughy) on DiT
I asked DiT if he liked it. We countered back and forth. DiT made the offer which was posted in the official trades sections.
Can we all please take a moment to reflect on how ridiculous this sentence is?
