At the half way point of the season a lot of coaches were really rating how Eskimo was going about things with his Sydney team - but since that point I think he's actually lost a fair few trades.

Kind of agree RLL. Traded out Lids and Rocky for far too little and that cost me a lot of value.
Don't think this is as big a loss as it looks at first glance.
Doughty will most likely be gone next year, Knights looks slow and probably not up to the big league (although he is coming back from major injury and may get his speed back after a full pre-season).
Griffen has shown that he is unable to shake a hard tag, but can score massive when he's left alone.

Jetta does not look slow and the Swans like to use him whenever they can. Can't shut down someone you can't catch.

Monfries is good AFL and consistent mid level scorer in AFFL.

Lobbe is interesting. Probably getting close to nailing down the number one ruck spot at Port and if he does, he scores quite well (about 90+ when rucking alone).

The deal makes my best 22 look much better and protects it from 0s. If Lobbe can nail down that ruck spot at Port then I reckon I'll look back at this one as a win.

Mine revolves around 2 things;

Griffen shaking the fuckin knats.
Knights getting some games under his belt, smashing it out in the SANFL, but hasnt been able to crack in the AFL side all that much except for gettting the green vest a few times..

Big risks on both sides of this deal Gav.

Griffen: Can he shake the tag?
Knights: Will he ever be the same as he was two years ago?
Doughty: Will he play more than five more career games?
Jetta: Is he the next Cyril Rioli or the next Adrian McAdam?
Monfries: Will he ever live up to his potential, or will he stay the forward pocket 70ppg type?
Lobbe: Will he become the number one ruckman at Port?

Actually, wouldn't mind looking back on this one in 12mths time.

Good post. But for me, when in doubt go for the guy averaging 100+ and love to watch. :)

Knights wont be at Adelaide next year imo.
Griffen is a gun that should be able to average 100 for the next few years.
Doughty is steak knives.
Monfries will never be a great scorer unfortunately, I really though this would be the year.
Lobbe is Ports best ruck but still trash, you just have to hope port don't bring in another ruck, if not he should average pretty well.
Jetta is quality.

Think deal suits both personally.

I like this one for the crows.

Griffen far and away the best player in this one.
