No idea how to rate this one, two huge question marks, could go either way. Would probably rather Cleishy's side because the potential upside is higher due to KPP status. |

I think it's a good win for Stoney. Classic case of good timing. Gumby got a couple of games while Hurley and Ryder have been out, but long term will he fit in? |

Add Joe Daniher also. That fwd will be awfully crowded next year, something's gotta give. To be completely honest, wouldn't be surprised of Gumby ends up back in w.a. at the end of the year. |

What is Clay Smith's huge question mark? First round draftee, played a handful of games, WB have a lot of ageing stars, not a lot of good kids coming through. He might never be elite, but cannot say I agree that he's a huge risk. |

I think the question mark on Smith is that he's a big of a victim of his own hype. I know a lot of people saw him as a ready made player when he was drafted, so expectations were that he would have played more games than he had. You take that out of the equation, and he's done well for a first year player. I know absolutely stuff all about the draftees apart from the stuff on here mainly, but I thought Daniher was a lanky fella. Wouldn't he be taking a few years to develop into a first team player? |

Big risk from my side. Smith is the more likely at this stage but I'm hoping for Gumby to Play the rest of the year and then have a big pre-season and show why he was such an early pick. |

Bairnsdale only breeds champion footballers. Callum Chambers, Dean Polo and now Clay Smith. |

Dean Polo has done something that neither of the other two have, been best on ground in a dominant performance that teased the hearts of Richmond supporters. Here's hoping that Smith can surpass those lofty heights. |

It was one of the great debuts, painful to watch as an Essendon supporter though. |

28 disposals, 6 marks, 3 goals and 148 SuperCoach points. If someone one here had offered him to me after that game, I would have parted with half a team to secure him. Ahhhh what could have been. |

On a serious note I do like Smith, he's a real goer. Just seems as though he needs to build his fitness up a bit. Gumby i've been chasing this week as well. Agree with Stoney, unfortunately I think he'll end up in purple next year. Would be a good fit. Will be hard to stomach it if he does stay fit as I think he'll be a terrific player if he can stay on the park long enough to learn to read the game a bit better at the top level. |

@rll - I didn't expect him to do much at all until after he was impressive in the pre season. Then he got hype because people saw him as a cash cow for the official fantasy games. The fact he's played around 70% of possible senior games in his first year is a good sign irrespective of any other variables. |

Also, Daniher will be hitting the scales at 90-95kg next year. Not a runt by any stretch of the imagination. Was a runt 15 months ago when he weighed 77kg. |
