Bit worried about Higgins and his injuries and even if he gets it right im not sure if he will ever be the 100 averaging player...
Jack i believe is an an and out gun and is a 100+ averager

Gumby massive riskkkk, its all wait and see

Higgins has had his troubles - but if efficient % and also wins his own ball. Once he gets a full pre season - he will tear the competition apart.

Agree on all points re- Jack & Gumble. Jack elite mid. Gumble 50/50 if he'll be around in 24 months. But not buying into Higgins' injuries, they're not degenerative which means there's always hope he'll get things right.

Look at Paul Chapman 2-3 years ago, career was on the brink with chronic hamstring and groin injures (ala Higgins, but Chapman's were a lot worse and didn't have age on his side) - just goes to show, once you get the management right, anything can happen.

Cheers.

Under no illusions Gumble has elite upside. You don't go #2 for nothing - just needs to get his body right, injury prone big men always more of a risk than smalls, but if he gets a clean run at it - expect him to be a decent KPF option. We havn't begun to see how good thise bloke can be - for his own sake, let's hope he gets his chance. Had massive wraps as a draftee...

Another way of looking at it from my point of view.

As a midfielder - I wont be considering Kieran Jack for DT/SC next season.

As a forward - I will always consider selecting Higgins in fantasyland.

As for risks gav, didn't you make the comment a week ago that you don't get ahead unless you take risks? Consider this a calculated risk.

Higgins IMO is a gun, happy to end it there and let everyone talk up his "risk" element at their own expense. I'm not buying into it long term, has absolute elite potential and is dual positioned. Can't think of a downside TBH.

higgins my fav 2nd footballer so i rate him more then anyone...

but on a personal note i don't reckon he will be a fwd next year, and if that comes true i would rather jack in the midfield then higgins...
but will have to wait and see for that one

Higgins spent as much time fwd this year (up until about rd 15) as any other season. And from Rd 15 onwards he was used as a half back.

If he's not a fwd, he's a defender (which I can't see happening, he'll be fwd/mid) - I'd actually rather him be a def than a fwd. So either way, his positioning is a win.

I like it from Pinny's end, has the only SAFE elite option in the deal, but since all you cunts have your dicks up the arses of any decent small forward i see the upside from both sides.

Well done lads.

Totally agree - the fact we need 4 small fwds per team, and that there's a distinct lack of good scoring ones across the competition is definitely something that should be ignored. Good comment tbnb.

Nowhere did i say that you shouldn't have good small forwards, but no more so than key backs/forwards. It's just like saying that rucks lose some of their value because there's a good crop right now and because you're apparently the second coming of jesus and everyone would cut off their left nut just to hear you speak.

Both Jack and Higgo are champions, but if i could have an elite mid over a POTENTIALLY great small forward, i'd take Jack every day. *Now cue one of you to say, that is why GC is shit, i'd take the port adelaide reserves over GC, etc. etc.*

Lol, not going to drag you down with a cheap shot at you're dismal team. You're entitled to you're opinion.

Interesting why Jack is an elite mid, but Higgins isn't an elite Fwd? Higgins currently averages more?

If you break it down, it's essentially...

- Jack is the 81st best mid (if we rate him at an average of 100.2 - his 2010 avg, then he's the 33rd best scoring mid in the comp)

- Higgins at his current avg is the 24th best scoring fwd.

It's all about structure for me right now. Don't get me wrong, Jack is an out and out gun, last thing I'm going to do is talk him down - he'll be an elite mid for 4-5 seasons. Wins his own ball, tackling machine - no downside what so ever.

Just interesting why you suggest he's already made it, but Higgins hasn't.

Stoney - would you say Gumbleton is worth more, the same, or less than the 3rd, 7th and 7th?

It's definitly an interesting one mate...

I said he was worth a mid-late 2nd in trade negotiations - and no one agreed.

If he develops at all, he's easily better than a 3rd. No doubt whatsoever.

I'm clearly not expecting him to develop - hence why I've traded him out.
